The first generation of games, which included Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, are some of the most beloved in the franchise’s long history and often remind fans of a simpler time without the many mechanics that can be found in Pokemon games today. It is so highly regarded that Nintendo released the Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green remakes, which were the first ever in the series a few years later.
