Assassin's Creed Shadows' Japan setting could set a precedent for more fan-desired locations to be adapted in future Assassin's Creed games

On November 15th, longtime Assassins Creed fans will finally be able to stalk the rooftops of feudal Japan in Assassins Creed Shadows. Gamers will get to play as the Japanese Shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe and the African Samurai Yasuke as they struggle to find their destiny during the late Sengoku period of Japan. While Assassins Creed Shadows is now further off following its recent delay, branches of developer Ubisoft are also hard at work developing subsequent Assassins Creed titles, including Assassins Creed Jade and Assassins Creed Codename Hexe. With Shadows' February release in sight, Ubisoft should consider developing games set in other long-demanded time periods and settings.
