December 5 Could Be a Huge Day for RPG Fans

Fans of role-playing games should mark December 5 on their calendars, because two highly anticipated RPGs may release on that day.

2023 was an amazing year for RPGs, as it saw the release of critically-acclaimed games like Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom LIberty, and Hogwarts Legacy. So far, 2024 has arguably been just as good for fans of the genre. Publishers like Sega, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, and Atlus have shown up in full force this year and have launched some great Japanese role-playing games, including Persona 3 Reload, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. On the Western side of things, American publishers like EA and Blizzard have released well-received RPGs such as Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, respectively.
