Metaphor: ReFantazio has a lot of Archetypes that specialize in learning spells, but you can also choose to equip Igniters to learn additional spells. Igniters are used by the rest of the population in Euchronia to use magic, but even though your party can do so with their Archetypes, that still doesn't make Igniters useless.
