Way back in 2001, Bungie released Halo: Combat Evolved. While it wasn't the company's first game it was the project that really put it on the map. The developer would follow the game up with Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo: ODST, and Halo: Reach. Bungie then split off from Microsoft to make the Destiny series which has also proven to be a successful franchise.
