Powerpuff Girls is one of the greatest cartoon series that established an entire generation. For most people it's nostalgic, and now that the live-action series is in the making, it will bless an entirely new generation of young girls and boys.

The series is full of lovable and vibrant characters, the most colorful being the epic trio that is Blossom, Buttercup, and Blossom. And while these girls are mostly made of sugar, spice, and everything nice, they all have individual characters and secrets under the surface. Every little girl fought about which protagonist they'd be, and most of them voted to be Blossom, the feisty red-head. This complex character has many faces that make her the one to beat.
10 She Has 11 Different Special Abilities
The Powerpuff Girls have a multitude of abilities and lovable attributes, but most people don't know that Blossom has altogether eleven different 'superpowers'. The most well-known of these abilities is 'Ice Breath'.
The ten other powers are pink lightning bolts, microscopic vision, pink laser eye beams, advanced intelligence & knowledge, enhanced intuition, danger sense, intuition, expert leadership skills, fire breath, strategy, and art planning skills. She uses all of them throughout the series, and they make her the fabulous leader she is.
9 She's Afraid Of Failing As A Leader
Blossom is the leader of the group. She sometimes seems bossy, uptight, and annoying because of it, but overall, the girls wouldn't be who they are without her. She's definitely the smartest, most practical member of the group, and it shows.
Having said that, it's only logical that her number one fear in life next to having her hair ruined, is failing as a leader, and ultimately being the cause of their failure as a team. This is something most viewers can sympathize with, and possibly the one thing that makes her feel more human in the show.
8 At The Start Of Episodes, She Is The First To Appear And The First To Fly
Not many people pay attention to these little details, but this is just another thing that proves that Blossom is in fact the leader of the Powerpuff Girls. At the start of each episode, during the theme song, Blossom is, in fact, the first of the girls to appear on the screen (as a pink blob), and she's the first to fly.
Although this could be by default, this is proof of the status quo and the fact that Blossom loves being the center of attention and the 'big sister' of the group.
7 Her Bow Represents Her Leadership
If anyone still doubted that Blossom is the main character, just take a look at her accessories. The fact that she's the only character with a - visible - hair accessory is no accident.

The legendary bow is her tiara because she's the one to look out for in any given situation. She not only loves and craves the attention, but she also makes sure she deserves it by proving her worth with every turn.
6 Her Hair Is Designed To Resemble A Cape
Now that her leadership is well-established, fans should also know the secret by now: she's secretly a superhero. Just as her bow, her hair isn't an accident either, it was designed to resemble a cape, like that of a superhero.

Her powers, her conscientiousness, and her protectiveness all prove that she's worthy of the superhero title. Not to mention, that she rocks the look of a superhero queen.
5 Her Foreign Names
Blossom has a different name in different countries around the world. In Spain, she's called Pétalo (petal), in Latin America, she's known as Bonbon, in Hungary, she's Sziporka (sparkle), in Italy she's Lolly, and in France she's Belle.
In fact, a lot of places didn't keep the alliteration of their names, but they didn't miss the mark in the main intent, which is grabbing their character and greatest quality.
4 Her Male Equivalent Is Brick
Each Powerpuff Girl was gifted with their male counterparts, the villains known as the Rowdyruff Boys, who were made from armpit hair, snails, and dog tails instead of sugar, spice, and everything nice. The boy most resembling Blossom is Brick.
As her evil 'alter ego', he's more of a dictator than a leader. He's controlling, menacing, aggressive, and ruthless. Thankfully, the beloved Blossom is everything but. And while the existence of the Rowdyruff Boys is comical and somewhat philosophical, they're also one of the greatest enemies of the girls, because of their similar powers.
3 She Plays The Electric Guitar
It's hard to believe that the girls have any free time next to fighting crime and saving the planet, but even the uptight Blossom needs a way to unwind. And believe it or not, her instrument of choice is none other than the electronic guitar, making her not only fierce and stronger than most but also rock 'n roll.
One of the few places where she can let go is when playing with the girls, and fans can really see her true self shine through when she has her guitar in her hand.
2 Her Personality Ingredient is "Everything Nice"
Each girl represents a different 'ingredient', and Blossom is, of course, everything nice. This does not surprise anyone, as her kind, loving, protective nature combined with her fierce leadership is true, everything nice.
Not only that, but her outfit and design are also a perfect mixture of everything that people love. The colors, the accessories, her powers, they're all... everything nice.
1 Chloe Bennet Will Portray Her In The Live-Action Series
For anyone wondering, yes, there is a cast for the live-action series. Although the public does not yet know the full cast including the villains and supporting characters, the main trio has been approved and published.
The leader of the group, Blossom, will be portrayed by the fabulous Chloe Bennet. Just as the cartoon series, the live-action version will also be focusing on the major character arches, including by-the-book Blossom rising to the job of becoming the leader in the group, while tackling her own demons and fears.
