When Epic Games first released Fortnite in 2017, it probably couldn't have anticipated how much of a global phenomenon the title would turn out to be. As an additional game mode quickly developed after the success of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Fortnite's Battle Royale became the standout feature of the game and helped to launch it to a level of superstardom within the gaming community.
