Monster Hunter Rise owners can play a daily lottery by scanning in their amiibo three times a day; this can be done with any kind of amiibo figure.

Nintendo's amiibo figurines have been around for many years now, first coming out in the days of the Wii U. These amiibo figures provide Nintendo fans access to special items and rewards for many first-party and some third-party titles, and Monster Hunter Rise is one of those games.

For players that pre-ordered the special Monster Hunter Rise-themed amiibo of a Palamute, Palico, or Magnamalo, can use these to unlock special items like Layered Armor, but other amiibo can be used with the game as well, even if they're not from the Monster Hunter franchise. For players out there that want to find out how to use amiibo in Monster Hunter Rise, this guide will help.

The first thing that players need to do is head to the market that's right in the middle of Kamura Village. Speak to Kagero and in the shop menu will be an option for amiibo. Players should click on that and have some amiibo on standby so that they can scan them into the game. This can be done three times a day with three different amiibo and if the amiibo isn't from Monster Hunter, players will be rewarded with basic items like Mega Potions, Antidotes, and explosive Barrels. Even though these items are fairly common, it's worth doing this every single day so that players can earn an abundance of these items, as they will come in handy out in the field. Also, free stuff is always a good thing.

For the players that do have the special amiibo that launched alongside Monster Hunter Rise, they can choose the "Claim Bonuses" option that will reward them with special items. Each amiibo will grant players with a special layered armor that's themed around Magnamalo. There's a layered armor for the human character and for their animal companions, the Palico and Palamute. It's worth noting that layered armor can be equipped from the item box and goes over the player's armor, meaning that the layered armor has no stats and can be worn without removing any other armor.

Players who have all three layered armor equipped to their squad will certainly make them look stylish and cool. Unfortunately, at least at GameStop, the amiibo have been in and out of stock with more units expected in the coming days. Some fans might have to wait a bit until they can get their hands on them.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available for the Nintendo Switch and a PC port is expected to release in early 2022.
