This guide details how players that pre-ordered Monster Hunter Rise, or purchased the Deluxe Edition, can access their bonus DLC items.

Players that opted to pre-order Monster Hunter Rise, or purchase its Deluxe Edition, will receive several special DLC items. That said, fans will need to claim these items before they can use them, and the way that is done may not be immediately obvious. Fortunately, it is quite simple to access these bonuses in Monster Hunter Rise, and this short guide contains a full walkthrough of the process for those players that need it.

To begin, fans should head to the center of Kamura VillageMonster Hunter Rise's central hub, and look for Senri the Mailman, a Palico that is standing on a red trunk. Once located, players should speak with this NPC twice and then select "Add-on Content" from the list of options. This action will open up a new menu that lists all of the DLC items that are available, and fans should highlight each one and press the input that appears at the bottom of the screen to claim them.

After claiming all of these Monster Hunter Rise bonuses, players may be interested in accessing their new items, and that is done through several different interfaces. For the Hunter Layered Armor, fans should visit an Item Box and equip it through the "Change Layered Armor" option found under "Layered Armor Settings." They can also check out the DLC hairstyle and face paint in the Item Box's "Appearance Settings" and equip the Novice Talisman by navigating to "Change Equipment."

With respect to the DLC Palico and Palamute Layered Armor, that is equipped at the Buddy Board that is found in the Buddy Plaza. As with Hunter Layered Armor, this is done by selecting "Change Layered Armor" under "Layered Armor Settings," though players will need to select the buddy of interest this time around. And finally, fans can try out their bonus pose by working their way to the Multiplayer tab of the menu and selecting the "Pose Sets" option.

To note, there is some confusion on whether these DLC items can be claimed more than one time, and that has not been fully resolved at the of writing. It is thus recommended that Monster Hunter Rise players make absolutely sure that they are happy with their characters before they collect these bonuses. Indeed, while it may be proven that the items can be claimed on additional characters, unfortunate situations could arise if that is ultimately not the case.

Monster Hunter Rise is currently available on Nintendo Switch, with a PC version coming in 2022.
