Jean is one of Genshin Impact's more interesting charcaters. Here' are some things you probably didn't know about her.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play, open-world, action RPG, gacha game released in September 2020 on PC, PS4, Android, and iOS. The game takes place in the brilliant world of Teyvat, home to seven different nations that are all tied to a specific element. Though the player follows the story of the Traveler, the protagonist, they can play as many other wondrous heroes.

Shortly into the story, actually, the player meets Jean, the "Dandelion Knight." She controls the element of Anemo and swings around a Sword. Jean, a five-star character, is playable if obtained via the Wish system. She is the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, overseeing and protecting the citizens of Mondstadt no matter what it takes.

10 Jean According To The Official Website

"As the Acting Grand Master of the Knights, Jean has always been devoted to her duties and maintaining peace in Mondstadt. She had taken precautions long before the onset of Stormterror's assault, and she will guard Mondstadt with her life as always."

When it comes to Jean, according to the game's official website at least, the Knights of Favonius and the people of Mondstadt are in good hands. She takes her position seriously, fulfilling any and all responsibilities and duties assigned to her to the best of her ability. It does no matter what the task is, Jean will take care of it and with sophistication as she is not easily bothered.

9 Jean According To The Game

"The righteous and rigorous Dandelion Knight, and Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius of Mondstadt."

Righteous and rigorous, as the in-game character attributes text in the game says regarding Jean, is an understatement. She is so devoted to those who rely on her that she almost faints often from exhaustion. Many people are concerned for her well-being, but at the same time, they like her immensely for all she does for Mondstadt. Sometimes, if Jean is overwhelmed, she will take some time off to visit the Great Tree in Windrise and decompress.

8 Jean Is Quite Elegant For A Knight

Usually, when one pictures a traditional knight, a man in shining armor comes to mind.

Well, Jean is not a traditional knight; she is better. Jean wears a white and gold shirt (that is strapless), a long blue tailcoat, a short blue cloak, a white collar, and white separated sleeves. She puts on white-and-gold leggings and white-and-gold boots too.

Underneath this elegant outfit, Jean has light skin and is quite muscular. She has blue eyes and long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail.

7 Jean Has Gracious, Magnificent Talents

As Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, Jean is constantly working. Much of that work involves running around outside killing bad guys. She launches opponents up into the sky with the element of Anemo and then plunges her Sword into them on their way down.

Her normal attack is called Favonius Bladework; Jean's elemental skill is Gale Blade; her elemental burst is Dandelion Breeze; Jean's first Ascension passive talent is Wind Companion; her fourth Ascension passive is Let the Wind Lead; and Jean's utility passive talent is Guiding Breeze.

6 Jean Likes Butterflies And Dandelions

The player needs to gather lots of materials to level up a character's talents. Jean, in particular, requires Teachings of Resistance, Guide to Resistance, and Philosophies of Resistance; she also needs Damaged Mask, Stained Mask, and Ominous Mask; and Jean demands Dvalin's Plume.

When it comes to Ascension, she wants more Masks (Damaged, Stained, Ominous) and a heaping pile of Vayuda Turquoise (Sliver, Fragment, Chunk, Gemstone). On top of this, Jean prefers Hurricane Seed — the essence of pure Anemo energy in the form of a butterfly — and Dandelion Seed.

5 Jean Uses Leo Minor

To use the character progression system, players invest in the Constellations of each character. They are unlocked with a Stella Fortuna (only obtainable through pulling duplicate characters via Wishes). Jean's Constellation is Leo Minor, which is Latin for "The Smaller Lion," but that is not rocket science to figure out.

If she increases her Constellation level, Jean can make her Gale Blade go faster and improve the impact of her Dandelion Breeze. From levels one to six, they are Spiraling Tempest, People's Aegis, When the West Wind Arises, Lands of Dandelion, Outbursting Gust, and "Lion's Fang, Fair Protector of Mondstadt."

4 Jean Is A Member Of The Gunnhildr Clan

Jean has a last name, it is Gunnhildr. She is the daughter of Frederica Gunnhildr and Seamus Pegg, the Cardinal of Daybreak. However, her mother separated from her father and took custody of Jean. There's more! She has a sister, Barbara, another playable character and the Deaconess of the Church of Favonius. But while their mother took Jean, their father took Barbara.

As for the Gunnhildrs, they are a prominent family and a prestigious clan in Mondstadt. When she was young, Jean's mother pushed her to train hard with the hopes she would rise to the challenge of protecting Mondstadt as is the duty of a member of the Clan.

3 Jean Just Wants Some Old-Fashioned Pizza

Invigorating Pizza is a special food item that the player has a chance to put together by cooking Mushroom Pizza with Jean. It is her favorite dish and specialty, made with mushroom, flour, cabbage, and cheese.

According to the game, "This pizza almost seems more art than food. Just one slice is enough to have you raring to go. Is this what keeps Jean working so hard?"

Also, her favorite food in all of Teyvat is a slice of pizza from the Cat's Tail.

2 Jean Sticks To A Rigid Schedule

When it comes to following a rigid schedule, Jean does not disappoint and nothing will deter her from her daily routine.

After waking up, she will go for a morning run with Amber. Then, Jean grabs breakfast with Lisa. At night, she does her laundry (by hand) and puts together an outfit for the following day. Jean keeps a list of things to do too, crossing each item out when completed. In fact, if something cannot be done then she will write a detailed entry of why.

Going off this, Jean even punishes herself for not sticking to her schedule. For example, one time she got sick and finishing a task late so Jean restricted herself from purchasing a new book as a reward at the end of the month.

1 Jean Was Born On March 14

On March 14, Jean was born. (She is a Pisces!) If the player interacts with her on her birthday, Jean has several unique quotes.

"The other Knights paid me a visit and took all of my work upon themselves. They ignored my protests, saying that I deserve to relax today. I appreciate their kindness, but... I do not see the need to celebrate my birthday."

"As a child, I always spent my birthday with my mother. To bystanders, it must have seemed most unusual. We would do away with the usual entertainment and birthday cake, opting for a simple trip to Windrise."

"I do not mean to complain, I have grown used to that tradition. This is why I am not accustomed to the notion of having a birthday banquet."

"Forgoing all fun may disappoint the others, but a grand ceremony also seems out of place. Birthdays require much deliberation indeed..."
