Microsoft officially announces the free Xbox Games with Gold for April 2021, consisting of two Xbox One games and two 360 titles.

A new Xbox wireless headset was released earlier this month, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive regarding the comfort and audio experience offered. Now, a new limited series has been shown off with a special Xbox Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal Xbox wireless headset.

Alex Nunn, senior business and strategy lead over at Xbox, shared our first look at the new headset, saying, "At Xbox, we believe providing choice to our players is critical in delivering quality gaming experiences across all our products and services. We know how important immersive audio is to keep you connected, and being connected is more important now than ever. Whether you are gaming with your friends around the world, listening to your favorite music, talking on a conference call for work, or binging the latest shows, audio plays a vital role in your everyday experiences."

With quite a few headsets already available, Microsoft aims to give players more options with the new Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal wireless headphones specifically made for Xbox. This also marks the first peripheral for the Designed for Xbox Limited Series program that offers premium products for gamers to enjoy.

The new line comes in three color options, as seen above. Black Anthracite, Grey Mist, and Navy Brass are the options available now to pre-order with a "sophisticated aesthetic" and stellar audio features. Players will be able to customize the chat and game sound balance, mute, and control the volume through both the headset itself and a special Bang & Olufsen audio app. This peripheral also is confirmed to work on both generations with the Xbox Series X/S and the Xbox One. For those curious, Xbox also confirms that this new headset is also compatible with PC and mobile devices through Bluetooth 5.1 and aptXAdaptive to ensure that the sound quality never falters no matter the platform.

The above images show a glimpse at how you can customize the audio experience via the mobile app, which is available on both iOS and Android devices. There are preset modes, individual tweaks that can be made, and the ability to save customized templates.

Last week, the latest video game adaptation was announced with a Ghost of Tsushima movie from the director of John Wick. While the executive roles were revealed, nothing has been shared yet about potential casting choices. That being said, Jin Sakai's voice actor said he's down to play his character in the Ghost of Tsushima movie, which is perfect. Who better to play Jin than Jin himself?

The actor, Daisuke Tsuji, took to Twitter after fellow voice actor Bryan Dechart (Detroit: Become Human, Cyberpunk 2077) tweeted at him and PlayStation about reprising his role as Jin Sakai. The actor's response? "If I get to play Jin in the live-action Ghost, let it be known that I fully agree to doing butt nudity."

Welp. There you go.

For those that may not have played the game and maybe thrown for a loop about what the heck he's talking about regarding "butt nudity," he's talking about the various hot springs scenes seen in-game. The animation for this action includes him removing his clothes and stepping in, giving all of that tooshie some time in the spotlight. Naturally, if this becomes a movie, this specific sequence may be a part of the adaptation, and Jin himself is down. What a trooper!

Regarding the film itself, John Wick's Chad Stahelski is set to direct the Ghost of Tsushima adaptation alongside Alex Young and Jason Spitz as producers through their company 87Eleven Entertainment. On the PlayStation Productions side, Carter Swan and Asad Qizibash are producing with Peter Kang overseeing the Ghost of Tsushima adaptation. '

“We’re excited to be partnering with Chad and 87Eleven Entertainment to bring their vision of Jin’s story to the big screen. We love working with creative partners like Chad, who has a passion for our games, ensuring we can create rich adaptations that will excite our fans and new audiences,” Asad Qizilbash, Head of PlayStation Productions, previously stated when the movie was announced.

Lil Nas X has been in headlines this week once more after the release of his music video for Montero on Friday night. Following the "outrage" centering on the video's satanic imagery, the singer raised the stakes with a new "Satan Shoes" collaboration. Through all of that, one person decided to elevate Lil Nas X's godlike clap back by making him an actual god with Hades fanart. Even if you aren't a fan of his music, the art is undeniably incredible.

The art was shared by Antonio Demico, a concept artist that works in video games and the creator behind Dragon Stew. When revealing the fanart, he said, "What if Lil Nas X in Montero, but he's a god in Hades?" Don't let your dreams be dreams, because this artist did exactly that, which you can seen below:

This Hades take is an incredibly on-the-nose replication of the art style that helped make this game the treasure that it is. It's easy to see Lil Nas X in the game's setting because this makes him a part of the game's setting. While unofficial, it's impressive nonetheless.

Regarding the game itself, Hades is a roguelike that is so enjoyable and so special that our own Jay Guisano stated that it's the perfect experience even for those that don't typically like roguelikes. The thrilling cast of characters, the rewarding weapons upgrade system, the excellent writing; it all comes together to be an unforgetting gaming experience.

While an official Lil Nas X and Hades collaboration isn't likely, it is a clever crossover. I'll never stop being impressed with how amazingly talented the gaming community is, both industry-side and out. The passion and love for games comes out in so many incredible ways. Cosplay, art, mods - they all come together to truly show how magnificent our microcosm of community can be.

Razer Reveals New 'Go Green' Initiative

Written by

Doing even the smallest of actions can have a big impact on our environment. While we aren't here for a long time, the time we are here can be shared with ensuring a brighter future for tomorrow. Many gaming companies are taking steps to "go green," and among them is Razer.

Razer is known for its gaming peripherals and laptops but what they also want to be known for is contributing to a greener future. The gaming brand has outlined a 10-year environmental roadmap under the #GoGreenWithRazer banner to realize these conscientious goals.

“Through our #GoGreenWithRazer campaign led by our Sneki Snek mascot, the Razer community has been insanely supportive and passionate,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “Awareness of how we impact the environment is incredibly important. Hence, Razer has planned out a sustainability roadmap to continue fighting environmental and climate changes. We’re determined to make the world a better place for all of its citizens to game and live in.”

With preservation efforts in mind, the company aims to use 100% renewable energy by the year 2025, with all products using recycled material by 2030 alongside being 100% carbon-neutral. As Razer continues to grow as a gaming staple, the goal of doing some good is also continuing to expand.

This plan of action isn't just impacting customers; there is an internal culture shift as well. The company tells us that the Razer team is taking steps in-house to be "greener," such as eliminating all single-use plastics from the office while also making attempts to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions, preserve bio-habitats, and work towards that 100% carbon neutrality.

In addition to product changes and in-house adjustments, a Razer has also announced that it aims to inspire its community following its partnership with Conservation International. After the most recent efforts to save 1,000,000 trees through the Sneki Snek plushie's purchases, the team is taking this promotion a step further with new Sneki Snek merch being revealed at every 250,000 mark.

The new Kanagawa Wave apparel line is also a neat way to do some good. The apparel line is made of fabric that is made from marine plastics that have been removed from beaches worldwide. "We will fund the recovery of 1kg of marine plastics with every item sold in this collection that is limited to 1,337 pieces per item available worldwide," said Razer about the new line. You can see what's available, including shirts and hats, right here
