Illinois state representative Marcus Evans Jr. explains the reasoning behind his desire to ban violent video games like Grand Theft Auto 5.
Following one of Fortnite's most ambitious seasons yet, the game confirms Chapter 2 Season 6's launch event and official start date.

The acquisition of ZeniMax Media is official, which means studios like Bethesda, id Software, Arkane, and Machine Games are all now under the Xbox umbrella. While Microsoft didn't have a full-on showcase, the company did write up a quick message to gamers about what's next. In addition to the confirmation that some (not all) titles under these studios will be exclusive, Microsoft also added that more Bethesda games will be added to Xbox Game Pass as early as this week.

In a new blog post, Microsoft ended its "Officially Welcoming Bethesda to Xbox" message with a confirmation that more information is on the way about what this acquisition means, in addition to the Xbox Game Pass tease. "Now that we're one team, we can start working together on the future ahead," reads the post. "We will have more to share about what's next for our teams later this year. In the meantime, to properly celebrate this special moment, we are bringing additional Bethesda games into Xbox Game Pass later this week."

More information about which titles are joining Xbox Game Pass will be shared at an undisclosed date, though rumors have previously stated that a possible showcase could be going down this Thursday.

In addition to the news about partial exclusivity and Game Pass additions, Microsoft wanted to take a small moment to honor the loss of Robert A. Altman, the founder of ZeniMax Media. When Altman passed, the industry felt it. Known for his kindness, his inclusive leadership style that made everyone feel valued and loved, and his passion for games, employees, and friends from all over the world sung his praises and mourned his loss.

"We would also like to honor the life and memory of my close friend Robert A. Altman, founder of ZeniMax Media," reads the small memorial. "Robert believed deeply in the power of gaming and we are privileged to be able to continue his work by joining forces with the teams he built and led for many years.  I will miss the opportunity to work directly with him on the future of our combined teams but I know that his spirit will live on in the shared work we do and motivate us to make this partnership all he envisioned."

In the age where video game adaptations are aplenty, a new live-action Dynasty Warriors movie trailer has been revealed, and it shows off what it takes to bring the beloved series to life. Given the nature of the games themselves, it's not unexpected to see that the film takes some interesting turns, and while it's far too soon to tell, it certainly looks like a choice.

In the trailer below, we see the usual hack-'n- slash style we're used to from the games themselves alongside a few over-the-top effects; because no battle is truly a battle until lightning is involved. You can check it out in the video below for yourself and see how well it stacks up to the gaming franchise:

If the above Dynasty Warriors movie is your style, that's great! But there is also some bad news. This film is set for a Hong Kong launch on April 29, with a China release set shortly after on the 30th. There has been no mention of a Western release at this time.

The Dynasty Warriors movie will be, as seen above, a live-action take that will adapt the first two chapters of the gaming franchise with a heavy focus on the Yellow Turban Rebellion and the Anti-Dong Zhuo Coalition. Also seen is a much younger Cao Cao without that instantly recognizable facial hair.

You may have missed it (I sure did), but this actually isn't the first trailer. The first trailer for this movie debuted back in 2018 for a planned China 2019 release. Unfortunately, delays happened, and then 2020 came in like a Mack Truck and plowed right through any soon release plans.

What do you think about the Dynasty Warriors movie trailer? Are you feeling the latest adaptation, or are you happy it's not coming to more areas? Sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below!

Dark Souls 3 is a stunning game, but what could make it even better? A ton of things, actually; that's why there are so many mods out there. But one weapons mod, in particular, brings the world of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice into the mix. There is even some Sekiro armor thrown in as well, in addition to more spells.

This Dark Souls 3 mod brings some of the most iconic weapons seen in the newer Sekiro game into the experience. This mod brings in a plethora of unique Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice weapons into Dark Souls 3, in addition to unique move sets that go along with them.

This mod is constantly being updated, which means more and more weapons are being added. Regarding what is currently available with the Dark Souls crossover, the below Sekiro weapons can be found:

  • Snake Eyes Handgonne
  • Phanom Kunai
  • Talon of Hatred
  • Kumogiri & Ashina Greatbow
  • Blades of Conquest
  • Tomb Greatstaff
  • Nitghtjar Sickle
  • Kusabimaru
  • Flame Vent

The mod creator also showed off an image of what these weapons look like:

A few armor pieces from Sekiro have also been added, including the Golden Crest Helm, the Sword Saint's Garb, and the Sword Saint's skirt.

The following spells are also included, though they can only be cast using R2 with Kusabimaru:

  • Whirlwind Slash
  • Nightjar Slash: Reversal
  • Ichimonji: Double
  • Ashina Cross
  • Praying Strikes: Exorcism
  • Shadowrush
  • Dragon Flash
  • One Mind
  • Floating Passage
  • Spiral Cloud Passage
  • Sakura Dance
  • Empowered Mortal Draw

The mod itself is for PC players only (which is to be expected since console mod support is still incredibly limited outside of Bethesda games), and can be downloaded right here. You'll need to also have Mod Engine installed, so if you don't have that already you can get it at this link (for free).

For all of his attitude, there’s no denying that Sonic the Hedgehog is an undeniably cuddly critter and this Mocchi Mocchi plush of him proves it. The adorable toy comes from a new partnership between Sega and toy manufacturer Tomy and is the first of a series of Sonic-related products from the popular Club Mocchi Mocchi brand.

Club Mocchi Mocchi are a line of plushies from Japan that are beloved for how darn soft and huggable they are. There are several Nintendo licensed brands of Mocchi Mocchi, including Mario, Kirby, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, among others. The brand has become more popular internationally in recent years because, frankly, who doesn’t want a big Octorok or Shy Guy to squeeze the stuffing out of?

As you can see above, the Sonic Mocchi Mocchi plush measures 10.5 x 15 inches and will be sold exclusively at Target for $38.99. It only consists of Sonic’s head, so you’re in good shape if the rest of his body grosses you out for some reason. The partnership promises more characters and elements of the Sonic franchise will get the Mocchi Mocchi treatment in the future. Tails, Knuckles, and Amy are assuredly on the way, but I hope we get a plush for worst-character-as-determined-by-science, Silver the Hedgehog. I could use something soft to kick around my apartment.

Sonic’s been making a lot of waves outside of games recently. The first teaser for his second live-action film dropped a few weeks ago and he’s got a new Netflix animated series coming as well. It’s a good time to be the Blue Blur, and all that’s left for fans is the announcement of the next Sonic video game, which will hopefully come sooner than later.

You can read more details on the Sonic toy and other products by visiting Tomy's website here. Will you be adding this Sonic toy to your pile of video game plushies? Let us know in the comments!
