Capcom Opens Up About The Decision To Bring Back Ethan Winters In Resident Evil Village

Resident Evil Village is giving us Tall Vampire Lady thirst and the return of Ethan Winters and now that the memes have died down a little bit about the former, Capcom is talking a little more about the decision to bring the latter back in style.
With Village continuing where Resident Evil 7 left off, some fans have expressed interest in the reason behind the return of Ethan Winters and his wife. Since his character has been shrouded in mystery following the events of RE7, his return was a welcome surprise for longtime fans. But why now?
In a recent interview in the PlayStation Official Magazine, producer Peter Fabiano opened up a little more about why a favorite of games' past has returned. “Concepting and planning was something going through our developers’ minds since towards the end of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," said Fabiano. "The team grew quite attached to Ethan as a character so we knew we wanted to continue his story arc. We wanted to continue to have players experience the game through the eyes of protagonist Ethan Winters. This is a continuation of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard after all.
“This really helped to keep our vision on target. And since we are constantly sharing information across Resident Evil teams, that really helped inform us in making what we consider the best survival horror game to date.”
Being attached to Ethan makes sense, the community as a whole seemed to resonate with him right off the bat, so to see him back once more in an all-new tale is incredible. Seeing the success that Resident Evil 7 helps as well, allowing for an eager return to the continuation of that story paired with this character's re-arrival as well.
We will be able to say hello to Ethan ourselves once more when Resident Evil Village arrives on May 7, 2021 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 feels like it's fallen somewhat out of the public eye since its Warlords of New York expansion launched almost a year ago. Sure, it currently has a Resident Evil crossover in progress (and winding down soon) and added an endgame PvE mode last fall, but it's been a while since it had a big update. It looks like that might be changing. Massive Entertainment announced today that it is currently hard at work making new content for The Division 2. The best part? The team plans to release whatever it will be later this year.
The game's official Twitter post doesn’t dive into specifics, so who knows if this will be a large story expansion or one or more smaller updates. The publisher promises to share more news as soon as it can. Some players may remember that Title Update 12 was billed as the last major update to The Division 2, but, according to the developer, the team changed its mind thanks to fans continually supporting the game. In the meantime, the devs plans to address some lingering technical issues, such as crashes as well as the missing volumetric fog and space screen reflections on PlayStation 5.
This is a pleasant surprise for fans still battling to liberate D.C. I'm curious to see what's next as I enjoyed The Division 2 a lot (especially with friends). It’ll be interesting to see where they go from here, especially after Warlords of New York took players back to the map of the first game. Seems like that would be a hard act to follow, but we’ll keep an eye out in the coming months to see what Ubisoft can cook up. Bungie Addresses 'Eyes Of Tomorrow' Exotic Bug

Following the most recent reset in Destiny 2: Beyond Light Season of the Chosen, many players were wondering if the raid exotic 'Eyes of Tomorrow' rocket was nerfed. Turns out, the dramatic weakening wasn't intentional as Bungie confirms that the issues are related to a bug and that the team is working on a fix.
The Eyes of Tomorrow rocket launcher is a drop from the final encounter in the newest raid to join the game, Deep Stone Crypt. It's a highly desirable weapon due to the perks attached, but the latest update saw a massive decline in the power behind this exotic. The weapon in its normal form fires out several powerful rockets in one swoop but many Guardians have noted that the damage has been noticeably less. Given that the rockets themselves were buffed, the issues with the rocket launcher were confusing. Luckily, we have some clarity and Bungie should be rolling out a fix soon.

Bungie's community manager Cozmo took to Twitter to respond to a question directed at the team, asking if there was an update on the nerf in question. Cozmo responded, saying "Just confirmed that any damage reductions to Eyes of Tomorrow were definitely not intentional and the team is currently investigating the bug." He added for additional clarity, "Adaptive Ordinance only triggering off of kills is intentional, as referenced in the description."
In its original form, the stock perks made this rocket larger incredibly grind-worthy with its Smart Drift Control, Fitted Stock, and Alloy Casing. The ability to track and fire at multiple targets at once also makes it a beast to run with, in addition to the Adaptive Ordinance, which was recently changed intentionally.
Players can get this weapon in the final encounter in the Deep Stone Crypt raid when facing off against Taniks. While the changes to Adaptive Ordinance aren't a huge hit with everyone, it is nice to see that the other tweaks weren't intentional and that everything will be back to working order soon enough.
