Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer brings its weekly mission, Expunge, to the game for Guardians to explore on their quest to end the Endless Night.

Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer has finally introduced its seasonal, weekly mission, Expunge. Similar to Destiny 2’s last season's Presage mission, Season of the Splicer’s Expunge Labyrinth is a weekly mission that ties in some more of the seasonal story content.

Guardians will want to complete the Expunge Labyrinth to keep up with more of Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer storyline. When the master difficulty arrives, it will start awarding Pinnacle Gear for Guardians. Until then, the Expunge Labyrinth will award high-stat rolled armor once per character, per week.

For Guardians to be able to access the Destiny 2 Expunge Labyrinth, Guardians will need to progress through the Path of the Splicer quest line to at least step 4 of the third mission. Once Guardians have completed the fourth step in Path of the Splicer 3, they can access the Season of the Splicer Expunge Labyrinth.

Completing the Path of the Splicer 3 mission will require Guardians to use Splicer Key Codes to open chests in the weekly Destiny 2 Override mission. Once the chests are opened, Guardians will need to report back to the H.E.L.M. and talk to Mithrax to get a gauntlet upgrade that will allow Guardians to access the Expunge Labyrinth.

Guardians will need to complete the Expunge Labyrinth to finish Path of the Splicer 3. Access to the Expunge Labyrinth also grants access to new Splicer Gauntlet upgrades to use in the Expunge Labyrinth. These upgrades will make the mission easier for Guardians, so purchasing them is recommended.

Once Guardians have completed the Path of the Splicer 3, they can access the Destiny 2 Expunge Labyrinth at any time from the Tangled Shore map. The first week has an Anti-Barrier modifier so Guardians will need to bring something that works with the seasonal Anti-Barrier mod such as a Scout Rifle.

The Expunge Labyrinth is mainly a jumping puzzle, much like the jumping puzzle in the Override missions in Season of The Splicer. Destiny 2 Guardians will do best with Exotics that improve their jumps. Many Guardians will be able to complete the current version of the Expunge Labyrinth on their own; however, future versions of the Expunge Labyrinths, such as the Master version, may be more difficult, requiring a Fireteam to complete.

Destiny 2’s in-game Triumph, Marked for Deletion, details completing seven versions of the Expunge Labyrinth. This could mean that Guardians see alternate versions that are less jumping puzzle and more combat-focused. Guardians will have to wait and see what Bungie has in store for the Vex Network.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
