In Destiny 2, mods make all the difference between a good build and a great build, and Auto Rifle users will want to get Sustained Charge.

Destiny 2 offers players a multitude of build options that can change them from being just another Guardian to a hero on part with Saint-14 or Osiris. One of the building blocks that skilled players use to take their builds to the next level are mods. While some mods in Destiny 2 can break the game, becoming essential for every player, others are a little more specific but can be just as powerful.

Sustained Charge is one such mod and will appeal to Destiny 2 players who like to use Auto Rifles, Trace Rifles, or Machine Guns. It's a fairly simple mod that allows players to become Charged With Light by rapidly defeating enemies with any of the aforementioned weapons. Additional copies of the mod can also be stacked to increase the time allowed between defeating combatants to gain the Charged With Light status.

To get the Sustained Charge mod, players will need to visit Ada-1 at the Tower Annex. Ada-1 has returned to Destiny 2 as a vendor for the Season of the Splicer. Part of her new role is to sell players a range of mods, one of which is the Sustained Charge mod. Players can purchase it from her for 10 Mod Components. Mod Components can be obtained by completing Gunsmith Bounties for Banshee-44 in the main Tower area.

The Sustained Charge mod requires 4 Solar energy to be slotted into armor, after which point it will allow players to become Charged With Light. The Charged With Light mechanic in Destiny 2 is very beneficial for players, and the easier it is to achieve, the better. Depending on the mods that players have equipped, the status can vastly increase their damage or ability to survive.

Players who are visiting Ada-1 to try and get the Sustained Charge mod should keep in mind that the stock will change every day, so they should be checking in with her daily to see what she is selling. Ada-1 is also the vendor for Destiny 2's transmog system, so most players will be visiting her regularly during the Season of the Splicer to take advantage of the newly added ability to change how their armor looks without changing how it behaves or the stats it has.

While it is not an incredibly powerful mod like some others in the game, Sustained Charge does offer Guardians a reliable, effective, and straightforward way to regularly achieve the Charged With Light status in the game, which can make all the difference in Destiny 2's toughest content.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
