Fortnite players still have a month or so to enjoy Season 5 aka Zero Point before Season 6 inevitably rolls in. With all the multiverse shenanigans the current season as been embracing, with numerous guest characters from God of War's Kratos to G.I. Joe's Snake Eyes, it's admittedly easy to forget that this season is meant to have a hunter theme going on, one that began with the inclusion of the Mandalorian.
Epic Games did tease something intrinsically related to the Mandalorian very recently, but now it's gone into more detail just ahead of the 15.30 update. Downtime (which is when Fortnite's servers are temporarily shut down) for said update has already finished, so players can look forward to the update going live at 4pm ET / 1pm PT / 9pm GMT.

As for what players can look forward to, the main inclusion is a new limited time mode called Mando's Bounty. In this mode, players must hunt down bounties and each other to earn enough galactic credits to win the match. However, whichever player happens to be in the lead will become a target for the Mandalorian himself. And anyone who's watched the show knows that he's not to be taken lightly. The mode will also feature a new canteen area that looks like it could easily belong in the Star Wars universe.
The mode will only be available until February 9th, which means players only have a week to try and unlock the new Victory Umbrella. Much like Mando's armor, this one is meant to made out of Beskar, a very useful and unique material commonly used by Mandalorians. Players can earn it by getting a Victory Royale in the new mode.
Epic has also given players a glimpse at two new Exotic weapons that are being added to the game: the Burst Quad Launcher and the Chug Cannon. No exact details on how the weapons work have been shared, but judging by its appearance, the Burst Quad Launcher will likely be similar to the last, similarly named launcher weapon and fire rockets. As for the Chug Cannon, which almost looks like it could be a weapon from Splatoon, it's suspected that it will be a healing weapon like the Bandage Bazooka.
On Epic's website, players can read up on the new changes to the Creative Mode. Most of what's listed are general bug fixes, but there are some additions, like a new Phone Booth device that lets players quick change their appearance, like how it works in the Party Royale mode.
Fortnite is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
