Entries have been added for NPC 43 and 44 in Fortnite, and some players may be wondering where they can find these new characters.

NPCs play a big role in Fortnite Season 5, offering players bounties as well as opportunities to spend gold bars. While the season began with a significant number of these characters appearing on Fortnite's map, even more have been added since then. In fact, fans that check their Character Collections right now will see that there are entries for two new NPCs (designated as 43 and 44), and some players may be wondering exactly where they can find them.

To get right to it, Fortnite's NPCs 43 and 44 are not appearing in-game as of February 2, 2021, and fans should thus hold off on their searches for the time being. This means that the entries for these characters in the Collections menu simply serve as placeholders at the time of writing, and players will need to wait for the NPCs to show up on the map before they can fill them in. That said, this wait may not be a very long one, as there is indication that the new characters will arrive quite soon.

Indeed, it is believed that NPC 43 and 44 will be modeled after two skins that appear in Fortnite's 15.30 update, both of which have an aesthetic that is in line with Valentine's Day. As such, it is expected that these skins will show up in the Item Shop around February 14, and it would not be surprising for the new characters to appear in-game on the same day. For those players that are curious, the skins are the Cuddle King skin and the Lovely skin, and they can both be seen in the following video.

While fans wait for NPC 43 and 44 to arrive, they can occupy themselves with the variety of challenges that are currently available in-game. Among these challenges are the Jungle Hunter quests, which fans can complete in order to unlock several cosmetic items, including the Predator skin in Fortnite. There are also new challenges added every Thursday, and tackling them is a great way to make some serious progress on the seasonal Battle Pass.

If a fan is already caught up on all of their challenges, then they may instead want to spend some time collecting Fortnite's Season 5 XP Coins. Currently, there are 30 Coins scattered across the map, and they come in green, blue, purple, and gold. As is the case with the weekly challenges, these XP Coins will help players level up this season, and they should thus not be missed.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
