The final Challenges of Fortnite Chapter Two Season Five have arrived, and one requires players to buy Intel from the season's new NPC characters.

Fortnite Chapter Two Season Five is coming to an end, with Season Six just around the corner. However, there's still one more week for players to complete Challenges and level up their Battle Pass. The Week 15 Challenges are a fairly standard bunch, enlivened by some interactions with the Fortnite's new NPC characters.

Introduced in Fortnite Season Five, the AI-controlled characters are scattered across the Battle Island. Players can interact with them in a number of different ways, including challenging them to Duels, hiring them as an NPC follower, or paying them for Intel. One of the Week 15 Challenges is to do the latter, requiring players to pay Bars for Intel from the new NPCs.

The first step to completing the Get Intel from a Character Week 15 Challenge in Fortnite is to track down one of the new characters. At first this doesn't seem too difficult, as they're spread throughout the Battle Island. However, not all characters sell Intel, so players may need to do some searching to find one. Here are a few characters who are known to sell maps:

  • Ragnarok: Found in the Viking vessel west of Holly Hedges
  • Kyle: Found in an RV to the southeast of Weeping Woods, or on the back deck at Lumber Lodge.
  • Sleuth: Found in northeast corner of Retail Row, or the detective agency in Sweaty Sands.
  • Bunker Jonesy: Found in the Cabin at Shipwreck Cove, or inside a cabin in Camp Cod.
  • Lexa: Found in the kitchen of a house in the northwest corner of Hunter's Haven.

As long as players can get close, a speech bubble should appear that will guide them to the Fortnite character's specific location.

Once players have found a character in Fortnite Season Five, all they need to do is interact with them and choose to buy Intel. Intel typically costs less than a dozen Bars, and players only need to buy one to complete the Challenge. The maps that the characters sell have a variety of different uses, but are mostly about tracking down randomly-spawned items.

Lexa and Ragnorok sell maps that reveal the location of a nearby Treasure Chest, while Kyle sells a map of nearby Campfires. Bunker Jonesy's map is one of the most interesting, as it reveals the location of Bigfoot. No matter what kind of map players buy, spending the Fortnite's Gold Bars currency on one will complete the Challenge.

Fortnite is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
