Genshin Impact is now in the middle of its long-awaited Lantern Festival event, featuring the five-star character Xiao. While Version 1.3 of the game introduced these things and more, some things hardly change, like developer miHoYo's penchant for promo codes.
Travelers who are familiar with Genshin Impact know to expect the more-than-occasional promo code. These special codes can be redeemed on miHoYo's official site, and generally award players with some combination of Primogems, and other valuable in-game items.

While there aren't usually a large number of promo codes available at once, Travelers can generally rest assured that there are several promo codes to redeem during any given month. Sometimes miHoYo reactivates older codes, but usually, they simply release new codes as part of special Genshin Impact events, livestreams, or promotion campaigns.
Players can always take advantage of in-game bonuses, like the "Stellar Reunion" bonus for returning players. However, as of February 14, 2021, the currently active promo codes in Genshin Impact are as follows:
- GENSHINGIFT - 50 Primogems, 3 Hero's Wit
- GSIMPTQ125 - 60 Primogems, 10,000 mora
- 153YUSAENH - 30 Primogems, 5 Adventurer's Experience*
* This refers to the item "Adventurer's Experience," which resembles several red sheets of paper, and grants characters 5,000 Character EXP; not to be confused with Adventure EXP.
To enter these codes, Travelers should simply login to their Genshin Impact account on miHoYo's official website for the game. The site also offers plenty of neat downloadables, like wallpapers and user icons, so players are encouraged to check those out as well. Once logged in, simply click on the Redeem Code tab found near the top right. On that page, simply select the correct region and in-game character name, and then enter the code. If the code is active, a "Promo Code Redeemed" message will display, and the gift will nearly instantly appear in-game, in Paimon's Inbox.
While 40 - 50 Primogems alone doesn't seem like a significant number, this quickly adds up when combined with all the casual daily Primogems that can be earned, like those from Daily Commissions, and simple Story Quests. And given that new characters like Xiao are only available by Wish for a short amount of time, players will likely want to gather as many Primogems as quickly as possible.
While the last larger batch of promo codes was released with the Special Version 1.3 Livestream, there are still several expected updates in early 2021, yet to arrive. Among these are a Special Banner featuring the Pyro character, Hu Tao. Players may finally get some new promo codes around then, if not, the next Special Livestream will surely dish some out. These brief streams, often hosted by voice actors who work on the game, give in-depth sneak peeks at upcoming updates, while treating players to extra-special promo codes that are announced live.
Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
