Throughout Genshin Impact's Lantern Rite Festival, the Lantern Rite Tales have served as an efficient way for players to earn hundreds of primogems. With quests varying from treasure hunting for the Adventurers Guild to helping homesick tourists from Mondstadt, players never know what to expect from the next Lantern Rite Tale.

In the Lantern Rite Tale "A Very Festive Problem," Genshin Impact players are tasked with assisting Herbalist Gui with the influx of customers during the festival. Like all previous Lantern Rite Tales, completing the quest will reward players with primogems and contribute to their overall festival progression rank.

To start the quest, players must reach the "Guests Flock From Afar" rank in the Lantern Rite Festival. This rank is unlocked by completing all previous requests in "Lantern Rite Tales I", and the "Current Deep Beneath the Lanterns" world quest.

After accepting the quest from the Lantern Rite Tales menu, players must head to the Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue and speak to Herbalist Gui. Gui will explain to the player that, as the festival progresses, more and more people are overindulging in food and drink.

Gui will then ask the player to deliver some stomach medicine to Zhihua and Guanhai. Players will find both men by the docks where the pirate daily commission quest occurs.

After delivering the medicine, head back to Herbalist Gui to start the next phase of the quest. Gui will explain to the player that he wishes to take part in the Lantern Rite festival, but does not have the time to construct a Xiao Lantern.

If the player does not have a Xiao lantern in their inventory, it can be easily constructed with Lantern Fiber, Wick Material, and Plaustrite Shard. After constructing a lantern, submit it to Gui to begin the final phase of the quest.

Because Gui does not know what to wish for on the Xiao lantern, he will ask the player to return the following day between 20:00-24:00. Rather than wait for time to progress, the player can simply select the time option in the menu to skip to 20:00-24:00 the following night.

On the following night, Herbalist Gui will no longer be in his pharmacy and players must travel to the location where he intends to release his Xiao lantern. Players can find Gui on the mountain next to the waypoint directly north of Liyue Harbor.

After reaching Gui's location, he will tell the player that he has decided what to wish for before releasing his lantern. The quest will now be completed, and players will be awarded 30 primogems.
