The Moment of Bloom banner for Hu Tao in Genshin Impact has finally arrived, which means players can start spending those wishes to try and get her. Hu Tao has been a highly anticipated character after many of her abilities and gameplay mechanics leaked online, and now she has her own banner to kick off March. Though most players will probably celebrate by doing their best to roll her character in Genshin Impact, one fan decided to use the occasion to unveil her awesome Hu Tao cosplay.
Hu Tao is the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor and a resident of Liyue Harbor. She is a talented trickster and can seemingly disappear and reappear at will, as seen in a recent leak of Hu Tao's dash ability. Hu Tao also plays the role of an AOE damage dealer that can heal herself after striking enemies. She can burn enemies to a crisp in battle, but when she's not in combat she can also be playful and prone to pranks. It is this side of Hu Tao that cosplay artist babsofthegalaxy captures in her cosplay to kick off the Moment of Bloom banner.

Babsofthegalaxy posted her Hu Tao cosplay onto the official Reddit page for Genshin Impact yesterday. She says that the outfit took around two weeks to make. Though her ghostly companion is missing, this Hu Tao look is quite impressive, with other fans showing their surprise that babsofthegalaxy was even able to portray the tiny flowers in Hu Tao's eyes.
Babsofthegalaxy also imitates the pose from Hu Tao's teaser trailer, which dropped a few days ago. This look is clearly detailed and it manages to capture even small intricacies of Hu Tao's appearance like her nails, bracelet, and the blue tassel on her porkpie hat. Since the Moment of Bloom event has only just started and fans are still getting to know Hu Tao, there is still plenty of time for more Hu Tao cosplays to try and perfectly capture her persona.
Genshin Impact players will also discover more about Hu Tao's fighting abilities as the Moment of Bloom banner continues. Though many players already know that she is a Pyro user and she wields a polearm, she hasn't been out long enough for her to be compared with other Genshin Impact characters in combat. Whether her AOE damage will be as powerful as Venti's or her Pyro vision as useful as Klee's won't be known until players experiment with her Talents and Elemental skills over the next few months.
Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
