Raw Meat is vital to many recipes in Genshin Impact, and since food items can make certain challenges much easier, it's an important resource.

Cooking in Genshin Impact is a great way to give characters a stat boost during tough encounters, and it can even be used to restore health and stamina in certain situations as well. Unsurprisingly, many of the dishes in the game require raw meat to make, but stocking up on a lot of raw meat isn't always the easiest task.

Regarding what drops raw meat, the answer is exceedingly obvious. Most of Genshin Impact's wildlife will drop a few pieces of raw meat, with the exception that birds drop fowl instead. The most straightforward way to get raw meat is to hunt wild animals around Teyvat.

There are actually three reliable ways to get raw meat, however, so players should pick the method that works best for them. The more raw meat players have on hand, the more meals they'll be able to cook when at a campfire, so it never hurts to get as much as possible.

As previously mentioned, the primary way to get raw meat is to hunt animals, but there is one location that works exceptionally well for this. In the area around Brightcrown Canyon, tons of boars can be found roaming the highlands. Players need to be careful, as these creatures will run off if they see one of their own killed, so it's important to be quick. To make this easier, use a character that uses the bow weapon class or a long ranged AoE attack to take out multiple at once, and then collect meat after they've all run off.

For those that don't fancy the idea of hunting boars to near extinction, raw meat can also be bought with Mora, but players won't find it on the menu in the Good Hunter. Instead, warp to Springvale in the Mondstadt region and speak with Draff. As long as players talk to him during the day time, they can browse his shop and find raw meat among his wares. He's currently the only shop keeper that sells this resource, and it costs 240 Mora per piece. He also has a daily limit of 10 raw meat.

Finally, players can also get raw meat from expeditions. There is currently only one expedition, the one in Windrise, that rewards raw meat for completion, so players can get 8-12 raw meat every 20 hours with this method. Of course, this time can be reduced by using either Fischl or Benett for their reduced Mondstadt expedition time, and it will award a similar amount of fowl as well.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC and PS4, and later on Switch.
