There are a lot of side missions to conquer in Mass Effect Andromeda. Here's how you can finish "Naming The Dead."

Mass Effect Andromeda's immersive campaign includes more than a hundred additional tasks for players to complete. Some are quick and easy, and others are frustratingly difficult. Since launch, gamers have had trouble completing the Naming the Dead additional mission on EOS.

Naming the Dead tasks players with finding and scanning all seven dead bodies on EOS. Each of the dead bodies is in a completely different location. Without guidance, this task can take a long time. A few of the bodies are located in Promise, and the rest are near the three monoliths that surround the base. This guide will help players identify the location of every dead body that needs to be scanned.

The first body is located to the west of the research lab behind one of the buildings in the starting zone. Gamers will see the body on the north side of the building just to the east of the large ring. The body is hidden behind a bush, so gamers should look closely in that area. After a minute or so, it should be simple enough to locate.

There are several bodies to the south of the first on the edge of the camp. Gamers should turn to the south after scanning the first body and jump down the hill. The next body will appear in front of the building at the bottom of the hill. It should be located right where the two energy shields are on the north side of the building. The body should be simple to locate.

Gamers can find the next body on the northwest platform of the same building. The platform is overlooking the edge of the water. For another reference point, gamers can look for the northeast tip of the lake that is on the south end of promise.  Players will spot the body on their way up the stairs. Once scanned, players may move on to the following location.

The following body will be located due east of the third body. Players can jump off the platform and walk through the shield barrier. Gamers will spot the body if they continue east between the two cliffs. This body is one of the easiest ones to spot because it will be in the middle of the sand patch exactly to the east of the prior location. Players should scan the body and get ready to move on.

Players will need to hop into the rover for the next location. The body can be found in a Kett base which is to the south of the lake closest to Promise. Players will not miss the massive triangular monolith, which is anchored to the cliffside in that area. For players that are unfamiliar, the monoliths on EOS are giant triangular structures scattered throughout the map. After driving up the path on the cliffside, gamers should proceed up the ramp and around the walkway into what appears to be a medical bay. The body will be in one of the beds on the north side of the bay.

Gamers will find several bodies near a monolith to the west of promise. The monolith is located on the cliffside, so players will want to be using the rover to get there. Each monolith appears as a blue icon on the map, so players should be using those are reference points during their search. Once on the main platform below the monolith, gamers should run to the southern corner of the platform. There, three bodies will be scattered. After scanning each, gamers will need to head to the southeast of Promise.

The final body is located near the monolith just to the southeast of Promise. Players should drive up the hill and walk to the north side of the monolith. Gamers can find the body close to the road. The best way to find the body is to walk around the outside of the monolith near the road and keep an eye out for it. After scanning the body, the task is finally complete.

Players will not need to return to Nexus after all of the bodies have been scanned. This is contrary to the mission notes, but an important thing to know nonetheless. Upon completion, players will unlock the "Doesn't Add Up" mission. The mission is initiated by speaking with Majordomo Bell-Scott who is located in Prodromos. Additionally, players will receive the following rewards:

  • 2% viability in EOS
  • 270 experience points
  • 29 Andromeda viability points

For all of the work, these are relatively disappointing rewards. However, gamers will need to complete the task if they would like to finish all of the additional tasks in the game. It is also the only way to unlock the "Doesn't Add Up" mission, meaning gamers who want to complete the entire game will have to struggle through it. With the guidance above, finding the bodies should be a brief and painless task.
