Sony announces the free PlayStation Plus games for February 2021 on PS4 and PS5, which includes a couple of PlayStation exclusive games.

For PlayStation Plus subscribers, the last Wednesday of every month is always an exciting time. That's when Sony reveals the next batch of free PS Plus games, with the company now revealing what subscribers have to look forward to in February. Sony has officially announced the free PlayStation Plus games for February 2021, with the lineup consisting of one PS5 exclusive, one game that includes both the PS4 and PS5 version, and one PS4 title.

The PS5 exclusive game coming as part of the free PS Plus games for February 2021 lineup is Destruction AllStars. A car combat game with distinct heroes that can be controlled outside of their vehicles, Destruction AllStars was originally meant to be a PS5 launch title before it was delayed at the last minute. The delay came with the confirmation that the game would launch in February 2021 as a free PS Plus game, so fans knew it was coming for some time, though we now have a specific release date. Destruction AllStars will be available to PS Plus subscribers to claim from February 2 until April 5.

As for the game that's available to both PS4 and PS5 owners, that would be Control: Ultimate Edition. The award-winning 2019 game from Remedy Entertainment earned rave reviews at the time of its release, and the Ultimate Edition is the best way to experience it. Control: Ultimate Edition includes both the Foundation DLC as well as the Alan Wake-themed AWE expansion, not to mention a free upgrade to the PS5 version.

And finally, PS4 owners can look forward to downloading Concrete Genie (technically playable on PS5 as well thanks to backward compatibility). Concrete Genie is an action-adventure game where players use motion controls to paint living creatures with unique abilities that help players solve puzzles and progress through the game world. It earned decent reviews at the time of its release and also features a PlayStation VR mode for those interested.

Concrete Genie and Control: Ultimate Edition will only be available to claim until March 1. It's the norm for free PS Plus games to only be available for a month at a time, but Sony has made some exceptions with a couple of PS5 games. Prior to Destruction AllStarsBugsnax was free to PS Plus subscribers for two months as well. It's unclear if Sony will do this for future games, as other PS5 PS Plus offerings (like Worms Rumble and Maneater) have only been available for the standard one month.

Meanwhile, PS Plus subscribers still have time to claim the free PS Plus games for January 2021, but they will need to do so by February 1.
