In 2011, Konami released the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PS3 and Xbox 360, bringing various Metal Gear Solid games to modern platforms. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection included the original Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. A couple of years later, Konami released another Metal Gear Solid collection, this time throwing in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and download codes for Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions. Now a rumor says that yet another MGS collection could be on the way, though fans should treat it with a massive grain of salt.
This rumor stems from 4chan and the poster provides no evidence to back up their claims, so fans should be highly skeptical. However, there have been legitimate video game leaks from 4chan, like when basically everything to know about Pokemon Sword and Shield leaked on the forum, so there's always the slight possibility that this rumor is accurate. In any case, the crux of the supposed "leak" is that Konami is going to a Metal Gear Solid collection for the PlayStation 5 starting in September.

The first collection will reportedly feature Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. Meanwhile, there will supposedly be a separate release for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on PS5, though the leaker says fans shouldn't expect the game to really take advantage of the console's unique features due to the difficulty of porting it from the PS3.
Apparently, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be left out of this collection, but Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 will once again be featured. There have been previous rumors of a new Metal Gear collection, but fans still shouldn't hold their breath about this.
One of the biggest red flags is the claim that Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is going to be a part of this collection. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes has never been re-released for any platforms besides the GameCube, and it was partly developed by Silicon Knights, a company that no longer exists. One would think that Konami would have ported Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes by now if it had any interest in doing so, and so it being mentioned in this "leak" makes the rest of the information difficult to believe.
While this leak seems unlikely, there are more reliable rumors that Bluepoint Games is doing a Metal Gear Solid remake, though nothing substantial from that supposed project has been revealed either.
