Call of Duty: Warzone Armor Plate Bug May Allow Fans To Exceed Maximum Carrying Limit

A Call of Duty: Warzone bug is allowing this fan to carry more armor plates than the traditional limitation would allow in a match.

To resist damage, Call of Duty: Warzone implemented a popular armor system. Players can wear three armor plates at a time and can carry a reserve number based on their current gear. While these Call of Duty: Warzone armor plates can be a life-saving tool, fans are limited on how many they can stockpile throughout a match.

Call of Duty: Warzone players can find armor satchels scattered around the game that increase this stockpile threshold. Originally, players can only hold five armor plates in reserve, but the armor satchel allows for up to eight to be held at a time. Many fans thought this was the limit, but a new bug may be redefining those rules.

In an image posted to Reddit by Clarkey101, the Call of Duty: Warzone fan shared a strange instance where their armor plate limit exceeds the 8 plate maximum. In the photo, the player is seen clearly holding 11 plates which gives a massive reserve to this player. While normally this is not allowed, a bug has triggered and seems to have removed the maximum limit. The post's author does not explain how this is possible, and fans in the comments are left questioning the strange image. Call of Duty: Warzone often manifests bugs after major updates, and many players believe that this is just one of those new bugs.

A player in the comments shares their experience, which caused the opposite effect to this bug. The Call of Duty: Warzone glitch limited the player's plate threshold despite having an armor satchel. What makes this interesting is the fact that the player could only see 5 plates in their inventory, but a spectating friend could see the full 8.

It is possible a similar effect is happening in this image. The Call of Duty: Warzone bug may not be granting the player extra plates but rather changing the number to appear larger than intended. If this is true, then this is a minor bug, but due to the lack of the post author's confirmation, it is hard to know whether they could equip the full 11.

Call of Duty: Warzone is filled with strange bugs, and this one appears to only be appearing every so often. While the developers are unaware of this glitch, it is left to the community to document and share proof that something is wrong with the armor plate system. Until then, Call of Duty: Warzone fans may never know the true limits to their armor plate capacity.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
