A Call of Duty: Warzone content creator mashes together tons of technology to create a controller that many have dreamed of.

Alternative controllers are becoming increasingly common among the Call of Duty: Warzone streaming community. While many of the major streamers are still playing with traditional controllers, several smaller streams have taken brave leaps into alternative options. Call of Duty: Warzone allows players to designate custom inputs, and this is the foundation of this new trend.

Using an alternative controller takes some level of ingenuity as the player needs to link an object with the game's controls. In the past, Call of Duty: Warzone streamers have used bread, musical instruments, and occasionally pets to control the game. While Call of Duty: Warzone does not offer hundreds of controls, it is still a skill-based experience.

On Reddit, user TOX1K01 shared their unique build that mixes several devices and a nerf gun and gives full control of Call of Duty: Warzone. While this is closer to a traditional gun controller, it is just as complicated as linking a drum set to Call of Duty: Warzone's control scheme. In the clip, the Call of Duty: Warzone content creator has a bright yellow nerf gun that he uses to take down enemies in the Gulag. The player does take the time to showcase the weapon and explains exactly what technology is involved in creating this unique gun.

The Call of Duty: Warzone controller alternative uses a Raspberry Pi, an Android Phone, 3D printing, a Nerf Gun, and Python scripting to play Call of Duty: Warzone. The entire piece is built to allow for motion controls and trigger action while being lightweight and adaptable.

The Call of Duty: Warzone weapon allows players a wide range of movement and is more practical than a drum set or a loaf of bread. The controller seems to be designed for continued play, and based on the footage, it can work as well as other means of control. In concept, this is very similar to the technology used in other gun controllers, but the exception being that this is a mash of known technologies.

It is not likely that gun-shaped controllers will replace the standard options available on console systems or PC. However, it is interesting to see this option in action as Call of Duty: Warzone content creators come up with more ingenious ways to play the game. Fans doubt that there is any competitive advantage to this, but many agree that it would feel immersive to use a gun-shaped controller in their casual play experiences.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
