Even over three years since the release of its battle royale mode, Fortnite is still turning heads. While the game might not be nearly as popular as it was at its apex in 2018, Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, continue to shake things up by adding collaboration skins from all forms of media.

Most recently, several iconic video game characters have found their way into the world of Fortnite. These characters belong to an exclusive rarity called Gaming Legends. As of April 2021, there are six Gaming Legends skins, with more likely coming in the future. Here's a guide to all currently available skins.
6 Psycho Bandit from Borderlands
The first Gaming Legends skin ever released is the Psycho Bandit from the Borderlands series. Psychos are a common enemy type in Borderlands and one of the series' most recognizable characters, appearing on the cover of every main game to date. The Psycho Bandit was released exclusively as part of a bundle in Fortnite's tenth season, Season X, to coincide with the release of Borderlands 3.
The bundle costs 2,000 V-Bucks and included the Psycho Bandit, along with the Psycho Buzz Axes harvesting tool and the love-him-or-hate-him character Claptrap as a back bling. Alternatively, as part of a limited time promotion, players who bought any edition of Borderlands 3 through the Epic Games store could obtain the Psycho Bandit skin for free as a gift.
5 Kratos of God Of War
God of War protagonist Kratos was one of the first of a myriad of hunters introduced in Chapter 2, Season 5. The hunter-themed season also brought many other characters from various franchises, including Predator, Terminator and Alien.

Fans can buy Kratos from the item shop for 1,500 V-Bucks. He comes with a back bling, along with both a default and armored style. Players can also choose to buy him in a bundle for 2,200 V-Bucks which includes the skin, the Leviathan Axe harvesting tool, the Guardian Shield glider, and the Freezing Burst emote. The Leviathan Axe is reactive and becomes covered with frost as the player uses it.
4 Master Chief from Halo
One of the most iconic characters in gaming and the de facto mascot of the Xbox, Master Chief is the main protagonist of the Halo series. Surprisingly, Master Chief is one of the few Gaming Legends with a canonical proficiency in using guns, as a majority of the other characters are never shown wielding firearms.
Halo fans can buy Master Chief from the item shop for 1,500 V-Bucks. He comes with a back bling along with an additional style. Like Kratos, players can also purchase him as part of a bundle for 2,600 V-Bucks. This bundle includes the skin, the Gravity Hammer harvesting tool, the UNSC Pelican glider, and the Lil' Warthog traversal emote.
3 Chun-Li from Street Fighter
Realistically speaking, adding Chun-Li and fellow Street Fighter representative Ryu is a strange choice, as neither are known for using weapons. But Fortnite also takes place in a world home to sentient bananas and buff cats, so everything is relative.
Digression aside, Chun-Li is one of the most iconic characters in the Street Fighter series. If anyone from the franchise deserves to be featured, it's her. Fans can buy Chun-Li in the Item Shop for 1,600 V-Bucks, including a built-in emote and additional style. Her Super Cab-Masher back bling is a huge throwback to arcade cabinets of days gone, and even plays special animations when the player gets an elimination.
2 Ryu from Street Fighter
The other Street Fighter character added to the Gaming Legends series is Ryu. Perhaps even more iconic than Chun-Li, many fans see Ryu as the face of the series and even fighting games in general. As with Chun-Li, players can buy Ryu in the Item Shop for 1,600 V-Bucks. He too has a built-in emote and additional style, and comes with the Training Bag back bling. While this is very simple compared with the Super Cab-Masher, it's a universal back bling that can players can use on nearly every character without clashing.

Diehard Street Fighter fans can purchase both Chun-Li and Ryu in a bundle for a discounted price of 2,200 V-Bucks. Additionally, the two also have a set of harvesting tools and a glider that players can purchase individually or as part of a bundle for 1,800 V-Bucks.
1 Lara Croft from Tomb Raider
The protagonist of Tomb Raider, Lara Croft is one of gaming's most well-known adventurers. Lara is the latest addition to the Gaming Legends series and the first to be featured in a battle pass. Consequently, players must purchase the battle pass for 950 V-Bucks, or approximately $8 USD, in order to unlock her.
One of the few Gaming Legends known to be able to use guns, Lara Croft comes with three edit styles. The default is based on her appearance in Tomb Raider (2013); meanwhile the other two are based on her classic and 25th anniversary appearances. Players can also unlock her entire set by leveling up the battle pass. This set includes the Survivor's Pack back bling, Pry Axe harvesting tool, Salvaged Chute glider, Spelunker's Special contrail and the Evasive Maneuvers traversal emote.
