Call of Duty: Warzone fans now have an idea of where the nuke may be dropped, as an official teaser has highlighted one specific location.

Call of Duty: Warzone fans have been waiting for the nuke event for some time now, and with Season 3 around the corner, that wait could finally be coming to an end. When the nuke does finally come, it seems like Call of Duty: Warzone fans may want to keep an eye on Verdansk’s Dam.

Call of Duty: Warzone’s dam has been a topic of speculation for several weeks, as players noticed that the dam was supposedly melting earlier in Season 2. Once fully melted, it seems like the dam could reveal some zombies, as a new teaser seems to imply that the undead are heading to the dam. Posted by Call of Duty League player MerK, a new piece of streamer swag has teased the importance of the location.

This attempt to hype up the zombies spreading to the dam takes a similar format to the other teasers, as streamer swag was used to hype those additions as well. For example, content creators were given a piggie bank to indicate the arrival of the hordes to Verdansk’s main bank. Each item comes with a note that doubles down on the teaser, and MerK's note includes the phrase “levee a guess.” If that hint was not clear enough, the “Verdansk dam” text on the side of the helmet makes things abundantly clear.

However, while this fits with leaks about the undead and where they will spread next, it seems like there is a bit more to this teaser. First, MerK adds the date April 21 to the post, seemingly confirming that whatever happens to the dam is going to be a big deal. With the nuke event apparently happening on April 22, the timing is interesting. Second, the item contains a logo with a gas mask, possibly hinting that the dam could be the place where the nuke is dropped. If it is, players may see the dam breaking, and fans are already seeming to get excited about the possibility.

Twitter users like @JRdeGuz have suggested that the dam breaking could see the map flooded, adding boats and swimming mechanics to Call of Duty: Warzone. While this seems unlikely, it is not out of the realm of possibility, as other titles in the series feature swimming mechanics. Further, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode featured a similar moment where the map was flooded, showing that the franchise has dabbled with this kind of battle royale idea in the past.

At the same time, this is purely speculation, as the gas mask symbol could just be a sign that the dam is tied to Call of Duty: Warzone’s nuke event in another way. For now, all players know for certain is that the zombies will be making their way toward the Verdansk dam very soon.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
