The newest event to come to Pokemon GO is Rivals' Week 2021. This event is focused on participating and winning various battles as well as Fighting-type Pokemon and certain Pokemon that are considered to be rivals against one another.

While many Pokemon GO events introduce new shiny Pokemon forms, Rivals' Week 2021 instead has introduced four new Pokemon from the Kalos region to the game. These Pokemon are Skrelp, Dragalge, Clauncher, and Clawitzer.

Since Dragalge is the evolution of Skrelp and Clawitzer is the evolution of Clauncher, players wanting these Pokemon will need to find their basic forms in the wild. Luckily, Skrelp and Clauncher are among the increased spawn rates for the Rivals' Week event.

Skrelp is a dual Poison and Water-type Pokemon that resembles a sea horse. With 400 Skrelp candies, it can evolve into Dragalge, which is a dual Poison and Dragon-type Pokemon. It is only weak to Dragon, Ground, Ice, and Psychic-type moves while resisting Fighting, Water, Electric, Bug, Poison, Fire, and Grass-type moves.

Clauncher is a pure Water-type Pokemon resembling a lobster. It can evolve into Clawitzer with 50 Clauncher candies, which is also a pure Water-type. The typing of both of these Pokemon makes them only weak to Grass and Electric-type moves while resisting damage from Steel, Water, Ice, and Fire-type moves.

Because these two are among the current increased spawn rates, players can find them among the other Pokemon during Rivals' Week. This means that using lures and incense can help players on their search for these Pokemon.

For those who don't want to go on long searches or use a spawn rate item, players can find Skrelp and Clauncher another way. For this event, Skrelp and Clauncher are among the Tier One raid bosses where players can find them, defeat them, then capture them.

Due to their status as Tier One bosses, they won't be much of a challenge even if players are challenging them solo. Skrelp and Clauncher however are two out of the six possible Tier One raid bosses with there also being other tiered bosses that can appear as well.

Another way to find them is through one of the Rivals' Week field research tasks. By completing the "Win a Raid" event field research task, players will be awarded an encounter with either Skrelp or Clauncher. There is no way to guarantee which one will appear, but it still with be either one of them. Players can pick up this task from any PokeStop during the event.
