In the early days of virtual reality, it was difficult to find games that fully utilized any given VR headset's capabilities, but I Expect You To Die did this perfectly. This was a game that managed to take all the benefits of virtual reality alongside its limitations at the time and create a truly unique and enjoyable experience. Now the developer, Schell Games, is bringing more fun to the table with a sequel called I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar.
For those that may have started with VR a bit later, I Expect You To Die is a spy-themed puzzle game that released the same year most of the major VR headsets released. Amidst a slew of experimental games, this one worked exceptionally well, providing players with unique puzzles and employing kinesthesis in VR like never before.

The trailer below showcases a few bits and pieces of I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar, and it seems as though Schell Games is planning on making some positive changes to the formula. Not only will there be brand new puzzles to solve, but the story is supposed to be much more involved this time around.
Players will face off against the forces of Zoraxis once again, but there may be more finality in this story than the last. At the moment, it's unclear when exactly the game will launch, but it is confirmed to be coming this year. Which VR platforms it will launch on also hasn't been announced just yet, but if it's anything like its predecessor, it will be available for PC VR, PSVR, and Quest at the very least.
I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar releases in 2021.
