Skate City, the skating simulator game that was previously an Apple Arcade exclusive, recently announced it would be getting console ports. Now players know exactly when those console ports will come, opening up a whole new group of gamers to the unique experience. PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X versions will all be releasing simultaneously on May 6th, and preorders are going to be available on April 29th.
For those that may not have gotten to play Skate City since it was relegated to Apple Arcade subscribers only, this skateboarding game combines elements from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and the Skate franchise to make a unique game all to itself. Players will visit famous skate parks around the world as they play, getting to explore these in virtual form.

The console and PC versions of Skate City will cost $14.99 by default, but they will be on sale during the pre-order period and all throughout the first week after launch. Players that purchase or pre-order the game during these times will get it for about $5 cheaper, amounting to a total price of $9.99 instead.
This isn't the first game from developer Snowman to make its way over to consoles recently either. Other mobile titles from the developer including Alto's Odyssey and Alto's Adventure have also made the leap, and another game called Where Cards Fall that was published by Snowman is coming to Switch and PC later this year. If this trend keeps up, fans can expect to see more Snowman games end their mobile exclusivity.
Skate City is available now on Apple Arcade and releases for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on May 6th.
