The Call of Duty: Warzone new map may not be revealed as of yet, but fans use vague information to speculate on many supposed changes.

A new map is expected to be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone with a small snippet discovered in Season 3's trailer. This small look gives a general idea of what Verdansk may look like in the future, depending on the results of the nuke event. Call of Duty: Warzone fans have studied this small peek carefully, and now they are comparing it to the original design.

There has been no official announcement as to what the new Call of Duty: Warzone map will look like. Most fans are sure that the map is reverting into a 1980's form, but the details of that are blurred. This leaves only fan speculation and investigation as to what the new map will have for the battle royale community.

In a post on Reddit by Butterflychunks, the user places a side-by-side look at the new 1980's map and the original Call of Duty: Warzone Verdansk layout. There are some obvious cross-overs as Boneyard, Superstore, and Downtown are all in the same location. One major difference is the military base's rename to Airfield, the lack of Gora Dam, and the factory placed to the left of the Superstore. While the labels are not official, they still present an interesting look at what could be coming to the game. All of the labels were generated based on Call of Duty: Warzone leaks and data-mined information.

In the comments, the post's author points out that the labels come from the game files themselves. Tranzit from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Summit from Black Ops 1, and many other places are the file names themselves. Now, this does not mean that they will match the original locations, and it could be that fans are mistranslating information as Summit could simply be the top of a mountain.

This is an interesting look at the future as Call of Duty: Warzone's nuke event will change the map. While this is far from official, it does speculate several leaked locations, and man fans believe that it is as accurate as a player can be.

Once the map changes, there should be several new locations for Call of Duty: Warzone fans to explore. These new Call of Duty: Warzone drop locations will mean new tactics and strategies as players navigate the changed terrain. The only thing fans can rely on at the moment is that the game will maintain the same style and purpose as seen since launch.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
