This guide details a workaround that may be of interest to players that are stuck on Fortnite's "set structures on fire" challenge.

Several weeks ago, Fortnite players gained access to a new weekly challenge that centered around setting structures on fire. Since then, some fans have encountered a bug when attempting to tackle this task, which prevents them from completing it and earning the associated rewards. Fortunately, a workaround for this issue has now been discovered, though Fortnite players that wish to pursue it may need to exercise quite a bit of patience.

To put things simply, fans that are unable to progress the "set structures on fire" challenge should turn their attention to their daily quests. More specifically, they should continually complete daily quests until they receive one that instructs them to ignite structures with fire. Obtaining this exact daily challenge is the portion of the workaround that may require some patience, and indeed Fortnite players may need to put a couple of hours of work toward it.

Once a fan has finally received the "ignite structures with fire" task, they should head over to Weeping Woods and search for fireflies. Upon locating these insects, players should interact with them in order to obtain some firefly jars in Fortnite. For the uninitiated, these objects can be thrown at structures to set them ablaze, and while it is not requisite that fans use their firefly jars on buildings that are within Weeping Woods, there are plenty of them to be found there.

Regardless of the specifics of the structure that is targeted, players should check their quests after they have set one on fire. Indeed, fans should now see that they are receiving credit toward the "ignite structures with fire" quest as well as the "set structures on fire" challenge, and it will only be a matter of time until both are marked as complete and the XP rewards have been doled out. While these rewards may not be enough to reach the top tiers of Fortnite's Season 6 Battle Pass, players that have been stuck on this challenge will still be very happy to see them come in.

To note, it is still likely that developer Epic Games will ultimately fix this Fortnite Season 6 Week 4 challenge, and that may even happen with the next game update. For those players that would rather not put a great deal of time toward completing daily quests, waiting for that official fix may be the best option. However, fans that simply must get the "set structures on fire" challenge checked off now can do that with the workaround detailed in this guide.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
