In the open-world of Immortals Fenyx Rising, players can go just about anywhere from the beginning of the game. While this makes exploring exciting and helps to give Fenyx Rising one of the best video game stories of 2020, it can make finding very specific enemies or locations a little difficult. One of the hardest enemies to find when looked for is the griffin.
Players are introduced to griffins very early in Immortals Fenyx Rising, as Hermes is being carried away by one into the first rift of the game. Saving Hermes is a big part of the story early on, and gives players access to secrets like Hermes' Secret Hideaway. While griffins respawn regularly in the wild, it can be difficult to find one when players need them. There are a handful of quests that require that the player kill griffins to complete.

If players are desperately looking for a griffin or two to help fulfill a quest in Immortals Fenyx Rising, there are a few spots where they are almost guaranteed to either spawn once or repeated respawn on the map.
Although some of these locations may change during the update and DLC release of A New God tomorrow, there are several places players can look for griffins. For those just starting their Fenyx journey, there is at least one griffin spawn in the starting area. Players can find a griffin guarding a chest just south of the starting island, immediately south of the observatory. It is on the last island before the end of land and the beginning of nothing but water.
The second spawn point is just west of the Goddess of Wisdom statue. This griffin is guarding a vault. If players are having trouble finding it, wait until night time and look for the glow west of the statue; places of interest always glow during the evening hours. That's one of the little hidden secrets in Fenyx Rising that few noticed.
The third griffin spawn is also located near the Goddess of Wisdom statue, but is to the northeast of it. There is a chest located at the northeastern-most part of the Grove of Kleos, on a small plateau. The griffin is guarding that chest.
Players can also check out the three griffin spawns in the far north of the Forgelands. One griffin appears near the coastline that borders along the King's Peak, and the second is in the western part of northern Forgelands, down a giant cliff. While players need the Heavy Lifting upgrade to Herakles’s Strength to get the Epic Chest there, they don't need it in order to kill the griffin guarding that chest.
The third griffin in this area is guarding the Shrine of Aither, which is just east of the second griffin spawn in the Forgelands. If players are looking to get in some serious griffin farming action, the best place in the whole of Fenyx's world it is this one; there are several griffins in the area, and they regularly respawn too. The Forgelands seems to have more griffins than any other place on the map, and it also is the home of many small lyres in Fenyx Rising as well.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
