An early game blue weapon with a powerful mod may just be one of the best weapons in Outriders, reaching insanely OP stats at max level and rarity.

Many Outriders players are exploring the endgame and crafting builds to perfect their Expedition times. For many players, the hunt for top-tier gear is a long and tedious process, while other players may be blessed with amazing RNG luck. The crafting and mods system is is still subject to some layers of RNG that can be troublesome to work around. Fortunately for players, there are a couple methods to get an OP Assault Rifle early in Outriders.

The Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle comes with the Bone Shrapnel mod already applied, making this weapon great for add clear and crowd control. This Assault Rifle is available with the Outriders: Hell’s Rangers Content Pack, included with pre-ordering the game, or is available for download for $7. The Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle has the potential to reach a Firepower value of 90K+ when upgraded, making it a DPS monster for endgame Expeditions or in-game bosses.

Outriders players who own the Hell’s Rangers Content Pack can find this rifle in the Inbox tab of their in-game Stash. The Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle will come in a Standard Variant with the Bone Shrapnel mod applied. Players will want to claim their Assault Rifle and take it straight to Dr. Zahedi to change its Variant to Tactical for a more consistent DPS weapon. Changing the Variant will re-roll the Firepower value; players will want to hunt for a Firepower value of 365+ to achieve a level 50 Firepower of around 90K+. The higher the base Firepower value of the weapon, the higher the final result.

Players may wonder what happens if changing the Variant to Tactical does not give them 365+ Firepower. Fortunately, there are two ways to get multiple copies of the Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle. The first method is to create a new disposable character, skip the prologue, play the first mission until that character gains access to the stash, pull out the Assault Rifle from the Inbox and move it over to the Stash to be picked up on a character with resources and change the Variant to Tactical.

Players can continue to do this loop until they get a Tactical Assault Rifle at 365+ however this method requires players to replay the first mission over and over until they get the Assault Rifle at the Firepower they are looking for. For players who have already reached the endgame, there is a faster method to farm this Outriders Assault Rifle.

The quicker method is to go to Outrider’s Camp in the endgame, launch an Expedition, and die during the expedition. Outriders players will want to abandon the Expedition, returning to the Outrider’s Camp. Once back in the Camp, exit to the main menu of the game and relaunch the Outrider’s Camp. If done correctly, players will see another Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle to claim and change to the Tactical Variant. This can be repeated on the same character as many times as the player needs.

The Firepower stat of the Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle is randomly generated the first time its Variant is changed. This means players could get a lower Firepower stat or a higher one but the value only changes once per weapon. Players will have to continue farming more versions of the Assault Rifle in the search for a 365+ Firepower stat. When players find their high rolled Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle of 365+, the leveling process begins.

Now that players have their 365+ Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle, they will want to level it to level 50 before upgrading its rarity. Leveling blue/Rare weapons is much cheaper than leveling a purple/Epic weapon. With 40 levels to go, it is best to save all the resources possible.

Once the Assault Rifle is level 50, players can then upgrade the rarity to Epic, granting them the choice of one of three random mods. Players should choose the mod that is best for their setup, keeping in mind that they can swap one of these two mods later. Bone Shrapnel is already a solid endgame mod and pairs well with Killing Spree, a Tier Three Legendary Mod found on the Amber Vault.

Now that players have their Epic Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle in the Tactical Variant, its Firepower should be insanely high. From here, players will want to raise the Attributes of this weapon to make it as deadly as possible for endgame Tier 15 Expeditions. Outriders players can find a better Assault Rifle however, that is purely up to RNG. With this Earthborn Renegade’s Assault Rifle already coming with a top tier perk, it certainly can become one of the best weapons for any player to get.

Outriders is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
