April 20 is here, which means that in just a few hours Pokemon GO players around the globe will begin celebrating Sustainability Week! The weeklong event takes a moment to acknowledge the importance of nature and protecting the parks, communities, and environment that players enjoy on a daily basis. There area ton of exciting features and bonuses to help get players in the sustainability spirit, so there's a lot to look forward to.
In addition to features like a new shiny Pokemon and lots of spawns increased during the event, Pokemon GO players can also look forward to a short timed research story chain. There are only three stages along the way for trainers to work through, but there are some some strong rewards up for grabs, so trainers won't want to miss out on this opportunity.

The timed research will be available during the event window of April 20at 10 AM to Sunday, April 25th, at 8 PM local time. The tasks are incredibly simple this time around and it would honestly be difficult to play for a few hours during the event and not complete the timed research chain. Players just need to use berries, catch weather boosted Pokemon, send some Gifts, and complete a few other regular tasks in order to cash in on the rewards and claim a bunch of Mega Candy for themselves.
Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon – Oddish encounter
Catch 7 Water-type Pokémon – Goldeen encounter
Catch 7 Pokémon with Weather Boost– Bellsprout encounter
Rewards: 1000 XP, 20 Mega Venusaur Energy, Turtwig encounter
Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon – Tangela encounter
Catch 5 different species of Grass-type Pokémon – Ferroseed encounter
Send 5 Gifts to friends – Phanpy encounter
Rewards: 1500 XP, 20 Mega Venusaur Energy, Grotle encounter
Use 7 Berries to help catch Pokémon – Cherrim (Sunny) encounter
Catch 40 Grass-type Pokémon – Alolan Diglett encounter
Use an Incense – Binacle encounter
Rewards: 2500 XP, 60 Mega Venusaur Energy, Venusaur encounter
That should be everything players need in order to work through the timed research for the Sustainability Week event window. Keep the clock in mind and be sure to get out and active early this week to power through the activities before the Aril 25 deadline.
