Call of Duty: Warzone fans discover a new bug that interacts with the character model and their parachute, resulting in a rather odd drop.

Call of Duty: Warzone is full of bizarre glitches, but this is one that fans have not seen before. One of the most important features in Call of Duty: Warzone is the parachute drop which gives players access to the entire map. While most players can land safely, a new glitch is causing problems spontaneously for random players attempting to land in Verdansk.

The concept is simple, players simply dive towards the location they want to go and then deploy the parachute. Once deployed, they can then gracefully drift that direction until they land at their preferred Call of Duty: Warzone drop zones. While there are tricks and tips to speeding up this process, this new bug is surely not one of them.

On Reddit, Call of Duty: Warzone fan budibungbung posted a clip of their character performing likely the oddest parachute jump seen this year. The clip is captured mid-drop, but it does not change the fact that this player is somehow dancing on air in the strangest pose possible. The parachute is pointed in an odd direction, and the character appears to be tangled in the strings and walking sideways.

While the clip presents a funny animation, it is no doubt frustrating to have a drop go so horribly wrong. Among Call of Duty: Warzone bugs like the Stim Glitch, wall breach, and many others, this is the first time that this parachute glitch has made an appearance. Hopefully, it is not a common problem, as a squad worth of players getting stuck in this animation would be upsetting and entertaining simultaneously.

The game appears to be without lag or other interference, making this a server-side issue rather than client-side. Call of Duty: Warzone is no stranger to bugs and glitches, so a new appearance is not an unexpected phenomenon. There is very minimal context from the player as to how this appeared in the game, most likely it is a model glitch.

Call of Duty: Warzone fans that encounter this or any other bug should be sure to share it on Reddit for the developers to see. The more that players report bugs and problems, the faster the development team will be able to handle priority glitches.

Due to this bug's rare occurrence, the player's best bet is to simply let it land and hope for survival. Call of Duty: Warzone is sure to make this bug appear at least a few more times, and short of quitting the match there is not much fans can do. Best recommendation is to record the glitch and reload into a new match as soon as possible.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
