The latest trailer for the upcoming Hulu series based on Marvel’s super villain offers fans an insight into M.O.D.O.K.'s family life.

The latest trailer for Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. gives fans an insight into the life of the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing. The supervillain from the comics reveals his evil plans of global domination, but as he goes around shooting people and fighting heroes, he is also trying very hard to maintain a healthy work-life balance, something everyone can relate to.

The hilarious two-minute trailer, which was shared by Marvel Entertainment and Hulu simultaneously on their respective social media channels, casts the evil character in a very relatable format. It seems like his evil organization A.I.M. has gone bankrupt and his family life isn’t going too well either. As he tackles his marital issues, M.O.D.O.K. also deals with a mid-life crisis and must face greater challenges if he wants his plans to succeed.

The trailer begins with a little bit of background, as young M.O.D.O.K. experiences bullying at school while his peers refer to him as “big head.” While his mother's confidence in her son's ability to someday “change the world” is touching, things take a sudden turn when he grows up into a megalomaniac, nothing similar to the typical villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But, that’s not all. In his objective to take over the world, he will be seen going up against the likes of Iron Man, voiced by Jon Hamm, and Wonder Man, voiced by Nathan Fillion. The latter is even seen taking off with the super villain's wife, something that makes M.O.D.O.K. very angry.

In the comics, M.O.D.O.K. fights several members of the Avengers at different points, including Captain America and Hulk. He even goes on to assemble his own team of super villains, but his storyline and attempts to take over the world are constantly shrouded in comedy, something the Hulu series seems to capture perfectly.

On Tuesday, Marvel had revealed the official M.O.D.O.K. poster for the upcoming 10-episode series, which stars Patton Oswalt as the supervillain. M.O.D.O.K., which premieres on Hulu on May 21, is a comedy series created with stop-motion animation. The fact that it isn't a live-action series is something that is already being appreciated by Marvel fans before the series has even been released because the animated format will allow the creators to keep the adaptation true to the comics, with the villain’s appearance being very similar to the one in the source material. He comes complete with a rather large head and tiny limbs.

Apart from Oswalt, the series will feature Aimee Garcia as M.O.D.O.K.'s wife Jodie, Melissa Fumero as the villain’s daughter Melissa, and Ben Schwartz as the villain’s son Lou. Wendi McLendon-Covey, Beck Bennett, Jon Daly, and Sam Richardson will also be voicing major roles.

M.O.D.O.K. premieres on Hulu on May 21, 2021.
