Long-time Animal Crossing fans know that Rosie has been around for all the games and is a friendly cat always in search of a friend, or a fan.

In every Animal Crossing game, players have had a variety of possible villagers to meet, greet, build homes for, gift presents to, and chat up. One of the species of villagers that a player can come across is a cat, and one of the peppiest and cutest of all Animal Crossing cat villagers is Rosie.

Rosie is a female cat with a peppy personality. Her Animal Crossing Villager birthday is February 27th, making her a Pisces. Rosie is one of about 60 villagers that has graced every Animal Crossing game so far, even including the anime movie titled Dōbutsu no Mori. Her initial phrase is "Silly," and this stylish cat wants to be a musical superstar someday. Her friendly nature makes her easy to get along with and makes it effortless to become besties with her. In the Japanese version of the game, Rosie's name is the English word Bouquet, but using the Japanese pronunciation (ブーケ Buuke).

Besides the main few mascot characters like Tom Nook and Isabelle, Rosie is probably one of the most recognizable villagers in the whole of Animal Crossing. Rosie even made a brief appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl when Isabelle was added as a collectible sticker and even briefly in Isabelle's Smash intro trailer as well. Her big black eyes, purple-blue fur, delicate white paws, and wildly-patterned yet fashionable outfit make her the perfect poster child for the games.

Although most would contend that the fashion-forward Raymond is the most popular AC cat character, it's hard to argue with Rosie's long history with the series and her welcoming personality. Her preferred theme in most of her game appearances is cute; she leans toward Cute themed items in Pocket Camp, has a nearly all pink interior in New Leaf, and an eclectic style in all the earlier games. Her whole life revolves around trying to be a musical diva, and she even requests an office and studio "for a star" in Happy Home Designer.

Rosie is also a huge fan of Animal Crossing's number one superstar K.K. Slider; her favorite songs are "Bubblegum K.K." and "Rocking' K.K." She also loves mocha coffees, pink dress and shirts, and wildly-colored umbrellas. If nothing else, players of the Animal Crossing games could learn a lesson in self-love from this friendly and feminine feline: she always wants to make sure that everyone knows that she is her own number one fan.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now for Nintendo Switch.
