Call of Duty: Warzone’s nuke event leads to a special website, and it is packed with teasers regarding the brand-new version of Verdansk.

Call of Duty: Warzone finally saw its long-awaited nuke dropped on Verdansk yesterday, and since then, gamers have only been able to play on a nighttime version of Rebirth Island. Alongside the small map, a new Call of Duty: Warzone ARG has been playing out via Rebirth from the Ashes.

Fortunately, the website seems to be coping with the heavy traffic better than Call of Duty: Warzone’s servers did during Destruction of Verdansk Part One. As a result, gamers have been able to find some secrets on the website, including a series of cyphers that reveal a new enemy faction. Redditor TheMikeDaoust did a terrific job deciphering the messages, with the decoded text detailing The Whisperers. Some kind of forgotten people, the group’s arrival seems to be incredibly ominous, with Redditors pointing out poetry references in their messaging.

While it may be a while before The Whisperers come into play, as the Hunt for Adler event will likely span all of Season 3, gamers have also been provided with some teasers about the new map. When logging onto the current version of the website, a code will be provided. Thus far, players know about several of these codes, with each revealing a location on the new map, some footage, or a specific item. One of these codes is OBLIVION, and it brings up a 10-second teaser for 1980s Verdansk.

The teaser showcases the Summit location, a major rework of the Dam area from the original Verdansk. While players have known about the map for a while through leaks, seeing it teased officially is exciting. Several areas of Verdansk have been changed, with Factory, Array, and Salt Mine joining Summit as additional points of interest. Many of the redesigned areas have also been teased through the codes, such as Stadium, Airport, Superstore, and Farmland. Though the images are intentionally fuzzy, they give a good idea of how each area has changed visually.

For those interested in viewing all the secrets on the website, the following codes will bring up teasers. Perhaps the most interesting of the bunch is Paradigm, as it sees the classic Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map Standoff serving as a new Gulag area. With Standoff joining Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in Season 3 as well, plenty of love for the map is being shown as of late, and it will be interesting to see how the gulag version of the area plays.

  • OBLIVION - 10 second clip
  • PARADIGM - New Gulag
  • EXECUTE - PPSH image
  • HUNGER - Superstore
  • CONTAINED - Downtown
  • AIR - Airport
  • DETECT - New Array POI
  • SEED - Farmland
  • HEAL - Hospital

With Call of Duty: Warzone fans also hearing codes from the radar towers around Rebirth Island, and a voice message on the website asking for them to be used, there may be more to see on the website very soon. For now, though, players have received plenty of exciting teasers about the new Verdansk that will be coming later today.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
