Ubisoft announces that future Assassin's Creed Valhalla updates will come at a slower rate so that it can focus on stamping out bugs.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla has received a wide variety of updates and patches since it launched in November 2020. After many Assassin's Creed Valhalla players have expressed frustration over the updates adding new issues to the game, however, Ubisoft has said now that IT will be delivering updates much slower so that it can spend more time ensuring they are of high quality.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Wrath of the Druids DLC was recently delayed in order to make sure that the DLC launched in a more polished state, indicating that this delay is part of a wider effort by the development team. The DLC's delay was well-received by the community, who applauded the company for showing patience to ensure quality, so it is likely that the community will react similarly to this announcement as well.

The news was delivered via a blog post to Ubisoft's website, where it was revealed that the delay would not be too severe as the team is moving to a 5-week timeline from the 4-week timeline they had been using thus far. The team also provided a detailed breakdown of their update process, broken down into six parts, as well as providing information on three particular fixes that have taken a while for the Assassin's Creed Valhalla team to fix. The post is very comprehensive and is another instance of the Assassin's Creed Valhalla developers reacting well to community feedback.

Ubisoft also provided some details on how players can help bugs get addressed quickly. Simply put, players can help by reporting bugs through the game's forum or website with a detailed description and video footage. The blog post ends with a roadmap of the developer's plan for updates in the foreseeable future.

It includes the next title update arriving on April 27 and the Wrath of the Druids DLC on May 13, with the next update coming late Spring followed by a new game mode called Mastery Challenge. Looking past the roadmap, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has multiple DLCs for players to look forward to, with a recent leak revealing some possible details on the third DLC.

While it is unfortunate that Assassin's Creed Valhalla players will have to wait longer for additional updates, if the updates are of better quality and help to stamp out the bugs that players are reporting, the wait may very well be worth it. For players who simply cannot wait for more Assassin's Creed Valhalla content or news, however, there were recently new screenshots released for Wrath of the Druids that show off some beautiful scenes as well as providing a first look at the new Werewolf enemy.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
