New Pokemon Snap offers players virtual tours via a website, giving them more insight into the game's various locales and their Pokemon inhabitants.

With New Pokemon Snap slated to hit shelves next week, Nintendo is beginning to ramp up its marketing for the reboot of the cult-classic Pokemon tie-in. While that's manifested in trailers and other gameplay clips, its most recent addition is slightly more substantial, allowing players to take a virtual tour of the Lental region via a new website.

Split up into 8 different sections, the site offers plenty of fresh New Pokemon Snap gameplay and a closer look at exactly what to expect from the title's various locales. It looks as though they'll offer tons of Pokemon from across all of the franchise's different entries, with each area offering a variety of opportunities to take fun photographs.

The main locations on show are the jungle, beach, desert, and nature park, while there are also categories depicting what makes the game's day and night cycle so unique. The final two categories are for item usage and the Pokedex, both of which will be imperative to players' adventures throughout New Pokemon Snap's world. Jumping into each section brings with it an array of short clips, covering which Pokemon can be found in each region and offering some early hints as to the types of photo ops that can be exploited.

For example, going into the jungle tab offers four videos about some of the area's more interesting residents, with one clip showing the player throwing a fluffruit into a Pikipek's nest and getting a photo when it emerges to angrily hoot at its assailant. Other jungle-focused clips show off Morelulls lighting up when they hear a melody, Liepards crossing over branches, and a pair of Quagsires swimming beside a picturesque waterfall. It seems the game's going to be filled with fun Pokemon encounters and engaging photo opportunities.

The game officially launches on April 30 for the Nintendo Switch, bringing back the addictive gameplay that made the original such a cult phenomenon while adding plenty of fresh faces and new mechanics for good measure. This time around, there will be over 200 Pokemon to photograph, including iconic staples like Pikachu, Eevee, and Magikarp, as well as newer additions to the franchise, like Sword and Shield's Grookey and Sun and Moon's Toucannon.

Pokemon Snap won't be the only addition to the franchise coming this year, with Nintendo also preparing to launch a remake of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl known as Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. They'll follow it up next year with Pokemon Legends: Arceuswhich will be a very different type of Pokemon game, switching out the series' traditional style for an open-world adventure with real-time battles.
