Bandai Namco releases two new trailers for Scarlet Nexus, which highlight gameplay from both protagonists visiting a museum and hospital location.

Scarlet Nexus is just two months away now, and action RPG fans are no doubt eager to see what Bandai Namco has in store for them with the game. Scarlet Nexus was revealed at an Inside Xbox showcase almost one year ago, and since then players have seen a ton of gameplay and cutscene footage showing off what makes the game unique.

After almost of year of press material being released, fans have seen several character introductions, story trailers, and a decent amount of gameplay. Now, Bandai Namco has released two more gameplay trailers for Scarlet Nexus, showing off two new locations that players will visit while playing as either Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall, the male and female protagonists of the game.

The first trailer that Bandai Namco released follows a portion of Yuito's story, where Yuito and company visit a rundown hospital location. Scarlet Nexus' hospital battle trailer shows an action-packed fight against a large enemy in an open room. While the gameplay is fast-paced and frenetic, there's clearly a lot more to the combat than just button mashing and dodging.

During the hospital fight, several quicktime events appear that allow players to disrupt enemy movements, completely stun the enemy, and rack up some massive damage. These quicktime events seem to be part of Yuito's psychokinetic abilities, as he launches several interactable objects at the monster during their fight.

For those who may not know to much about Scarlet Nexus' unique "brainpunk" world, a term coined by the development team at Bandai Namco, humans inhabiting the distant future of Scarlet Nexus have developed the ability to use psionic powers. Both Yuito and Kasane have the ability to use psychokinesis, but it appears they may gain additional psionic powers as the game progresses.

The next trailer follows Kasane as her team explores a museum location. Kasane's gameplay trailer shows off encounters with many regular enemies, as opposed to Yuito's trailer highlighting what looks to be a mid-boss encounter. As such, Kasane's trailer gives a much better look at what Scarlet Nexus' regular gameplay will look like when players are exploring dungeons and fighting the more common enemies found in the game. Additionally, players get a glimpse at some of the powers Kasane can utilize in battle.

Kasane is also able to utilize psychokinesis to throw objects at enemies to stun them or perform combos, but it appears members of Kasane's team give her different abilities compared to Yuito. For example, Kasane is seen utilizing electricity to stun and deal damage to one of the enemies early on in the trailer. It seems these elemental powers will be a large part of Scarlet Nexus' combat system. While there's still a lot left to reveal regarding Scarlet Nexus, players won't have to wait too much longer to get their hands on the game.

Scarlet Nexus is releasing Summer 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
