Monster Hunter Rise players looking to complete the Token of Gratitude request can find out where to find Pricey Shoots in this short guide.

In Monster Hunter Rise, players can obtain new weapon and armor designs by completing a variety of requests from the NPCs throughout the village. While the majority of these requests will task Monster Hunter Rise players with defeating a set number of enemies or obtaining a specific monster part, several require the player to obtain specific items that are foraged from the game's environments.

In the Token of Gratitude request, players are tasked by Wakana the Greengrocer with obtaining 2 Pricey Shoots. Upon completing the request, players will unlock the Cornpopper Gunlance tree.

Currently, the only region that players are able to obtain Pricey Shoots is in the Shrine Ruins. In the region, players have a chance of obtaining Pricey Shoots from the various Shoot Patches scattered across the map.

In order to easily track the Shoot Patch locations in the Shrine Ruins, open the map, press x to open the icon list, then press R to select special items and select Shoot Patch. In the region, there are a total of 5 patches that players can forage.

While this may seem like a small number of patches for players to farm, it is worth noting that the cooldown for material spawns is approximately 4-5 minutes. As a result, players can farm the five patches and then proceed to obtain any other items they require before returning to the patches when they have respawned.

It is worth noting that there are two possible material drops from Shoot Patches: Choice Shoots and Pricey Shoots. Choice shoots are worth 60 Kamura Points while Pricey Shoots are worth 200 each. Because Pricey Shoots are worth significantly more, the rate at which players will obtain the material from the shoot patches will be significantly reduced from the Choice Shoots.

An additional way that players can maximize their chances at finding Pricey Shoots is by obtaining the Leather or Leather S set from the blacksmith in the village. The head, bracers, and pants for the set each contain the geologist skill which will allow the player to gather an additional time from each of the shoot patches throughout the level.

Unlike most armor sets in Monster Hunter Rise, players are not required to craft the Leather or Leather S set, and can easily purchase each of the pieces as long as they have the required Zenny.

Having the leather set saved to an equipment loadout is always useful as there will be several instances throughout the game where players will be tasked with farming for request-related items.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available for the Nintendo Switch, with a PC release slated for 2022.
