After recent reports of Devastators being kicked from parties, Outriders players are now reporting that they are losing loot because of griefers.

Despite the success of Outriders, players have been having problems with its matchmaking systems, causing some players to have trouble with mods activating while in matchmaking. While some issues with Outriders' networking are not the fault of the players, new reports shed light on the Outriders community becoming a toxic environment. This toxicity is driving some players to only play Outriders solo.

Recently, Reddit posts have started discussing how some players are kicking other players after clearing an endgame Expedition but before opening the Drop Pod, causing the kicked players to lose out on their hard-earned loot. This comes after previous news of Outriders players kicking Devastators out of their groups since Devastators do not have the best damage output.

FancyTangerine3312 on Reddit responded to an Outriders news thread detailing their experience with getting kicked out of an endgame Expedition in Outriders before being able to claim their loot from the Drop Pod. FancyTangerine3312 went on to suggest that since players cannot join an Expedition after the last encounter has started, that players should not be allowed to kick other players during this same time.

Other Outriders community members have stated that they have also been the victim of this problem, with TxDieselKid posting a video to YouTube showing what it looks like being kicked before claiming their loot. Players hope that this discussion will bring more awareness to People Can Fly and lead to a fix for this problem.

Because of the toxic behavior of booting players, mixed with the bugs caused by inconsistent matchmaking, many players have chosen to focus on playing Outriders solo until changes are made to make the multiplayer experience more enjoyable and inclusive.

While the endgame Expeditions are timed, players can feel pressured to play with other players to achieve the best rewards. While Outriders is designed to be played with other people, doing so can lead to players experiencing some of the game’s more frustrating issues, ultimately making the game feel worse.

Outriders' developers at People Can Fly have been doing their best to fix the current issue around inventory wipes before focusing on other aspects of Outriders. Many gamers hope that People Can Fly can prevent Outriders from drowning and continue on the road to success. However, many other players have already set Outriders aside for now. Only time will tell if Outriders will continue to thrive or if its recent stumbles will be too much for the game to recover from.

Outriders is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
