Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is no stranger to bugs, as several issues have come about since launch. However, the latest issue is one of the weirdest yet, as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans are finding missing bits of text in the game's menus.

Fortunately, players know which items are bugged, as the issue is not tied to every unlockable item in the game. Instead, it seems limited to the new Season 3 content. Specifically, gamers are finding issues with the new Hunt for Adler rewards and the Ballistic Knife weapon addition. While hardly a game-breaking bug, it seems like the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War community is having a bit of fun joking about the missing text issues.

Reddit user Failbros2 jokes that they “finally got” Adler’s new skin and an item called “redacted.” In the image, players are clearly meant to see a completion image for the Hunt for Adler event on the left side. Instead, they see a white square in place of whatever was meant to be shown. On the right side, the special Tortured and Rescued Adler skin is pictured clearly, though it lacks this name. In its place sits the phrase “empty string,” with another bit of empty string text depicted where the skin description should be.

Redditors like OutOsprey joined in on the joke, saying that they are “loving” the Empty String skin. Other players are just glad that the skin challenges are working as intended in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, as the same cannot be said for the intel contracts found within Call of Duty: Warzone. As pointed out by Reddit user Misterpoody, the Hunt for Adler contracts are currently bugged inside the battle royale game, with the event progress not tracking when the contracts are completed.

Outside of the Adler skin, players can see that the new Ballistic Knife weapon is also suffering from some missing text. If players go to look at the Banished camo challenge, they will see the phrase “Weapon Name” in place of Ballistic Knife. Much like the Adler skin, this is likely just a case of a developer forgetting to input a specific value for this bit of text. Still, players were quick to jump on the slip-up, with Redditor RubixTwelve jokingly saying that Weapon Name is their “favorite weapon” in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

As of now, it remains to be seen when this small issue is resolved. However, with many players struggling due to a troublesome XP problem inside of Zombies, a patch may be coming sooner rather than later — and this missing text will surely be amongst the fixes.
