Where players will struggle is finding the moments that bows can actually deal a lot of damage, the moments are so fleeting and rare that most will get frustrated. If you can master the wonky aiming mechanics then that's most of the battle, taking away a lot of the complaints about the type. The downside to choosing this type is the lack of character support, offering only 5 characters that can even use the weapon. It restricts the player's choices and funnels them into some specific builds with limited variety. However, the unique mechanics will click with some players and be well worth the sacrifice.

The great thing about the Polearm is the extended range you get, giving players some serious breathing space where they don't have to worry about close-range physical attacks. It's not only the length of the weapon but its plunging attacks that cover a lot more ground, extending its already long reach even further.
