Deoxys is a highly versatile Pokemon most trainers would love to have in their party. This is everywhere you can find it in the series.

Deoxys is a Pokemon, created as the result of an extraterrestrial virus's exposure to a laser beam. The Mythical Pokemon was introduced in Generation III and has four different Formes: Attack, Defense, Speed, and Normal. In the Pokedex, it is Number 386.

While Deoxys is a Generation III Pokemon, it was actually unable for catching in Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire. Deoxys is also unable to be caught in Pokemon ColosseumPokemon XDPokemon X and Pokemon YPokemon Sun and Pokemon MoonPokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon MoonPokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee, and Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Between Pokemon Emerald and Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, however, there are ways to catch Deoxys.

6 Pokemon Emerald

In Pokemon Emerald, the only place where Deoxys may be caught is Birth Island. This location is near Six Island Seven Island in the Sevii Islands. Before going, the player needs an AuroraTicket, which is downloadable through the Mystery Gift feature.

After acquiring the AuroraTicket, they talk to the sailor by the S.S. Tidal and take the boat to Birth Island. This place actually does not even appear on the Town Map or even PokeNav. Following arrival, Deoxys will not immediately present itself. The player must figure out a puzzle.

To solve the puzzle, they need to follow the rock. Each time it is interacted with, it moves; the player has to take the shortest possible path to its new position. If things go correctly, the rock will glow more and more until it returns to its original location and shines a bright red color. Finally, interacting with the rock one last time makes it shatter...and Deoxys appears.

Also, in Pokemon Emerald, after being caught, Deoxys will transform into its Speed Forme.

5 Pokemon FireRed And LeafGreen

In Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen, Deoxys is found on Birth Island. This place is between Six Island and Seven Island in the Sevii Islands. The player needs an item, the AuroraTicket, obtainable through Mystery Gift, to get here.

Once they have the AuroraTicket, the player has to speak to the sailor by the Seagallop Ferry. If all goes well, they will ride the boat to Birth Island (which is invisible on the map actually). Upon arrival, Deoxys will not be on the island; there is only a rock present.

This rock is in fact a puzzle. Here is how you solve it: First, from the bottom of the rock, press A; then go left five times and down once, press A; then go right five times and up five times, press A; then go right five times and down five times, press A; then go up three times and left seven times, press A; then go right five times, press A; then go left three times and down two times, press A; then go down once and left four times, press A; then go right seven times, press A; then go left four times and down once, press A; finally, go up four times, press A.

If successful, the rock breaks and Deoxys appears! (Any failure resets the puzzle.) After catching Deoxys, it will change into Attack Forme in Pokemon FireRed and Defense Forme in Pokemon LeafGreen.

4 Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, And Platinum

In Pokemon DiamondPokemon Pearl, and Pokemon Platinum, Deoxys is available for catching via Pal Park. This is a preserve for Pokemon located at the far right side of Route 221 in the Sinnoh region. It is not open for business until the player gets the National Pokedex.

Once Pal Park opens, they unlock the "Migrate" option in the main menu. From here, the player may transfer Deoxys from Pokemon EmeraldPokemon FireRed, or Pokemon LeafGreen. Then they have to catch it...again...in Pal Park's Catching Show.

During the Catching Show, the player has to encounter and catch Deoxys as one of the six Pokemon roaming around. It is located in the Mountains area, in the northeastern regent. This is the only way to get Deoxys in these games.

3 Pokemon HeartGold And SoulSilver

In Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver, the only way to catch Deoxys is in Pal Park. This place is a preserve for Pokemon, available after the player gets the National Pokedex. It is located in Kanto, unlocked after they visit Fuschia City.

Once Pal Park unlocks, the player gets access to the "Migrate" option in the main menu. Technically, they do not capture a new Deoxys but rather transfer an old one from Pokemon Emerald, Pokemon FireRed, or Pokemon LeafGreen. This goes down in Pal Park's Catching Show.

The map is divided into five areas: Forest, Pond, Field, Sea, and Mountain. Mountain is where Deoxys is encountered, in the northeast. If Deoxys is one of the six Pokemon let into Pal Park, it may be caught.

2 Pokemon Black, White, Black 2, And White 2

In Pokemon BlackPokemon WhitePokemon Black 2, and Pokemon White 2, Deoxys is caught (or rather transferred) through the Poke Transfer feature. This is accessed via the Poke Transfer Lab in Route 15. Poke Transfer is unlocked after the player beats the main story of the game and gets the  National Pokedex.

Deoxys, like other Pokemon, is obtainable through a mini-game where they shoot Poke Balls at six different Pokemon at a time with a bow.

1 Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire

In Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Apha Sapphire, Deoxys is available for catching at the end of the Delta Episode, which unlocks once the player beats the main story of the game. First and foremost, they must encounter and capture Rayquaza at Sky Pillar. Then the player goes to space to prevent an incoming meteor from ending the world (literally). Following this, a weird triangular pattern appears and so does Deoxys.

Unlike all the other encounters of Deoxys, this time around it is Level 80 (on par with Arceus and Calryex for the highest level encounter). They actually get not just one but two chances to catch Deoxys if the first time fails. The player just needs to defeat the Elite Four for the second chance, then go back to Sky Pillar. At the same spot where Rayquaza was chilling, Deoxys will be waiting.
