Bon Appetit is a side quest in NieR Replicant that players can start by speaking with the Tavern Keeper in Seafront. After accepting the quest, fans must head to the nearby library in order to collect a cookbook, which will inspire the NPC to try out a new recipe. However, the Tavern Keeper will not be able to prepare the dish until he has obtained five sharks, five bags of rice, and five mushrooms, and this guide will help NieR Replicant players locate all of these ingredients.
Of the three items required for this NieR Replicant side quest, the rice and the mushrooms are the simplest to acquire. This is due to the fact that fans can purchase them from Grocer in Seafront, and that is exactly what they should. For those players that are curious, the rice costs 600 Gold each, and the mushrooms cost 800 Gold each, which means that a total of 7,000 Gold must be spent.

With respect to getting the sharks for Bon Appetit, that requires players to do a little fishing in NieR Replicant. More specifically, fans need to cast at the Seafront Pier, where the Old Man that offers the Fisherman's Gambit side quests can be found, and they will need to use sardines as bait. For full clarity, sardines can be caught by casting lugworms into this same body of water, or they can be purchased from the Tackle Shopkeeper in Seaport if The Fisherman's Gambit Part 1 has been completed.
One other very important thing to mention about catching sharks is that players must finish The Fisherman's Gambit Part 4 before it can be done. Indeed, it is only at that point that a fan's fishing skill will be high enough to handle these larger creatures. While dealing with that side quest should not be extremely time-consuming, this requirement does mean that players will need to catch bream, sardines, blowfish, and rainbow trout in NieR Replicant before they can complete Bon Appetit.
Once a fan has obtained five of each of the requested ingredients, they should return to the Tavern Keeper to collect their reward. That reward is 5,000 Gold, which may be slightly underwhelming, since it is less than the cost of rice and mushrooms. Even still, NieR Replicant players that simply enjoy the act of completing side quests should not miss out on Bon Appetit, as it can be finished quite quickly and without too much hassle.
NieR Replicant is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
